It switches uncomfortably between journalism/travel. I suspect the travel stuff, ex. showing two English-speaking white women (perhaps Mexicanas, but appearances are everything) talk about how these kids aka "the other" have experienced hunger, etc, is done to make it more appealing to outside audiences. At the cost of isolating your subjects, it's not worth it.By cutting the isolating/unnecessary stuff and adding subtitlos en español, it'd become inclusive for TierraViva and their neighbors.
The focus is correct: permaculture in urban areas/Mexico City. However, the first 1min "OMG punks are doing something! Good!" is condescending and off-base. So you're not a punk, okay. But do your research! They're many groups of punks, anarchists and/or anticapitalists doing good, including alt. gardening, human rights work, biofuel projects, indy media, freeing public spaces, antirascist and -sexist workshops, ad finitum. Many might share your initial stereotype, but why pay lip service?
I am not trying to be cruel but nothing will be significantly changing until they start to plan families, have less children using contraceptives. That is the first education they need about the beauty of life with the child not just having children.
@hapobelle I don't know what you are referring to as to the need to plan families. If the stereotype has gone all the way to Croatia, well it's really sad. I am from Mexico and from a village no less ( we have internet, drinkable water, and all that stuff. Can you believe that?). In today's Mexico, there are about 2 births per woman. It has drastically changed since the 70's. Unlike what many people think, when it comes to this, people forget how catholic they might be & use contraceptives.
Seems that you have prejudice about the prejudice I might have which is condescending.I am glad you live nice but you can not hide the fact that many Mexicans don't..Croatia has about 84% population declaring to be Catholic(not me),Mexico about 82% and yet a lot less children are born then in Mexico with average of 2 children per woman. In last ten years population in Mexico has risen about 15 000 000,in Croatia it is in small decline. How do you explain that?
Mexico is a country full of natural resources and good people with tons of potential, I think the key for them to come up is to learn how to work together on a national level. This looks like a good start
@raider2661 Oh and you are under the impression that the money from natural resources benefits the country its located in? How naive. Those natural resources are exploited by international corporations who make the profits while paying the workers fuck all, and doing nothing to help their communities.
@raider2661 No you missed mine. You can have a country full of good people, but if what they supposedly have is owned by other people, how can that benefit them?
@destinationuknown85 I understood exactly what you meant, and I'm not denying this. What I meant with my original comment was: if the people of Mexico get organize and are able to work together, then they will be able to get their country under control (this includes control over their NATURAL RESOURCES). Still confused?
I was one of the first wave of punks and going vege was pretty big time , even way back then, thanks to the wave of anarcho punk that began with UK band Crass. Now I'm a permie and punk played its part in that. The Crass collective nowadays are great supporters and practitioners of PC, as can be seen on You Tube. Mollison's work is truly anarchic, which of course means the natural order of things.
Perfect climate for fruit trees and tons of great foods. I also heard that Mexico city has a water shortage problem which could really be helped by compost toilets as well as rain water collection systems in more areas.

Aztecs and Mexican punks "may seem to have little in common"? Political punks are often very aware of social history, including their OWN identities.

Hi Kids, please do not "letterbox" your videos, it reduces the quality.
Youtube has been widescreen native since 2008.
