I loved this so much, I searched out and listened to every version of this song on Youtube. Of course Dougie Maclean is amazing, but your performance here is my favorite. Full of such tenderness and longing, this is just beautiful!
I did learn it from Dougie. You have nothing to apologize for. Dougie said it pleased him that he wrote a song at such a young age that so many people love to sing. (He was 18, I believe.) I am sure Dougie will love your version. I do.
