your name , your right , we old timers like me need you , hell Im lucky to keep my mac going , got a post graduate step son who can keep me on the net, never have posted , wouldnt know how , lol, but I love "the Floyd " all thru thier strained career
I grew up with Pink Floyd, and still love it. I really love the guitar in this track, it has such an ethereal and pure quality to it. Absolutely amazing.

Yeah, I remember too, my father had a lot of theyr recordings, I was listening to them all day... I dont remember why i did at these times, but I remember theyr music, I think that music fits my soul perfectly. Also Nirvana, but its different talk. I liked the covers, also i was fascinated by the "flying pig" as a kid. its sad so i will not be able to see them at some kind of concert, my dad tells stories when he was in theyr concert at moscow... Just amazing (sorry for bad english)
When I was little my Dad never let me touch his CD's, and he had the ENTIRE box set of Pink Floyd, including the book of info on the band. I always was interested in the cd cover art for this one ("Meddle"), so he put it on... and this is the first song on that CD. I was about five or six then, I'm 17 now, and this is still one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs... (My other favorites would probably be "On The Turning Away" and "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun").
This was the first album I ever listened to shortly after the cd player was launched. This was the first song.... and being slightly stoned with a few mates made all the more poignant.
yes finally some good music! i got this as a ringer on my cell too I think i went to ComplimentaryRinger. Com and got it, not sure, great tune any wayz.
"When the child like view of the world went, nothing replaced it...
nothing replaced it... I do not like being asked to.....I do not like being asked to...
Other people replaced it
Someone who knows"
It's about Syd Barrett, who had a childlike view of the world. As we know, Syd succumbed to insanity because of too much drugs and too sudden fame. So, his childlike view of the world and his innocence faded. It's sad, and we hear the longing for that lost mystical world in this song.
I like the gentle sound of the water at the beginning of the track. Sound effects such as the ones in this song and so many other Pink Floyd songs are what add a subtle touch of humanity and realism to their music, which is what makes them so much different from other groups and music styles.
My name is jennifer, and i was raped before i died. I use to enjoy pain and now i inflict it upon people. I was tortured and raped until i could no longer breathe. Those bastards now suffer and die, and those who do not repost this to 5 videos will die too.
At the strike of 12AM, those who did not repost this will die a horrible death after seeing a bloody face covered with long black hair. Those who repost this will receive a kiss from their crush

Pink Floyd's music simply talks to your soul. Its a damn shame that not many, if any, music can do that now adays.

I wish they would have embellished on this track. It seems to go back to their awesome instrumental stuff but it seems way too short and shallow.

Wow! How did you managed to get a pre-release copy of the 1987 Momentary Lapse of Reason CD way back in 1982, when CD players were first launched?
Can you get me any music from 2015? I'd love to hear it :-)
