The Charlie in my life was my babysitter and my protector. He kept me warm as a baby. A year or two later, my mom and dad were working outside one spring morning. Each thought the other was watching me. When they realized I was missing, they starting calling for me in the woods around our house. They found me toddling behind Charlie with the tip of his tail in my fist. He made it clear to them that he could handle a 2 year old in the woods. I miss him...

Stargazy, you are so right. We had a Charlie the Circus Cat for 14 years. He was definitely special. But so were our two black cats before him, MitchieFoo and Blackberry. We still miss them all.

Adorable. Charlie looks alot like my Simon. Simon was also an abused / Rescued kitty. Although he is older ( adopted him when he was approx 5 yrs old )... now after about a year, has come out of his shell, and plays with toys, and our other pets. :)

Yay! Rescue cats! I have had my cat almost a year now too! :) I'm pretty sure your cat is more tame than mine. My cat would have ripped the chicken to shreds within seconds! My cat is also black and white! :)

@turtlewings I used Adobe Premier. I'm a big fan of Adobe and use all of their products all day long but I don't recommend using Premier. I found it to be very difficult to use and not very intuitive.

I love this video and totally agree that rescue cats are great too! I wondered if you might be able to tell me how you made the pinata? I'd love to make one for my kittens and also add it to our welcome home cat party kits at the rescue centre (a little box with practical things like food and litter but also a few toys and handmade cat treats to get each cat settled in their new home)

@katydelapole I made it the same way you'd make a traditional piñata, just used a waterballoon as a base instead of a full sized one! I then papier-måchéd over it and glued on a bunch of coloured tissue paper. It ended up being too hard though. I'd recommend only doing a layer or two of the papier-måché so your cats can break it easier if you're going to try doing it this way.
