  • I spent my teenage years with her niece on Long Island w/ her brothers daughter. They were both killed on that fateful day after shopping for her dress for her show. I remember the day & the call I was there...so sad to this day. We spent many nights at her place in Manhattan & she spent many days on Long Island teaching us how to be ladies...I will always credit her family with making me the strong woman I am today Rest In Peace Mr. Baker & Tracy you are both truly missed...always

  • This is classic NYC during the late 70s/early 80s golden era that was the incubator for most dance forms we have now-house, hip hop, electro, rap..even techno was influenced at the very beginning by NY tracks like Planet Rock.

  • Thanks for this post. I had an instrumental version on a 12 inch with the excellent "One step at a time" Had given up hope of hearing this ever again. What fantastic singer Tracey was and how sad she died so young.
