Elvis, the undisputed King of world. The greatest minds ever known were frozen by his presence. Even televisions changed to color after he got on the scene. There was no way to thank him using words, so the human race chose to love him unconditionally. May his life be a lesson that excess of anything can be destructive if it is not managed carefully. That goes for love too. However, Elvis deserves all the love he has because he shared all of his with us. Life's a mystery, ain't it?

Best looking man I have ever seen in my 53 years. Even in the end he was still good looking. It's a shame such talent went to waste!!! In my opinion, best singer EVER!!!!
May not have looked his best, but his voice, and what a voice it was, was outstanding to the end. Elvis, you would have probably been gone by now because of your age, but I know God has been at every concert in heaven, especially when you sang gospel. R.I.P.
I still maintain that Col. Tom Parker, was instrumental in Elvis' death. The SOB would never allow him to be "Elvis." He only allowed him to perform within the 50 States. Elvis, never appeared in concert overseas. In addition, Parker, was there until the end.
I think Elvis like most people did the best he could. He wasn't immune to human temptations and failings anymore than we are. What was different was the amount of stress he was subject to due to his superstar status. I think the drugs were a way of physically and psychologically escaping those stressors for awhile. And in all fairness for awhile they probably did that for him. I won't judge the man. I'm grateful for the time he was alive and the music he gave to the world.
Regardless of where any of us lay the blam, with his doctor or with Elvis himself I think his last years & untimely death are a tragedy to all his fans and most especially to his family. I think it is sooo wrong that every time I click on this video the Google ad that runs on the bottom of it is about detoxing! I mean, really?
let,s see he had a twisted colon, hypertension, glaucoma and its a wonder he could go out there and perform as well as he did . i miss him he was the best
@redsoxrooter100 It was his love for his fans and his love to perform that kept him going... He always gave all he had... It sometimes appears as though he knew his end was near...Sad day when he left us. There will never be another like him!!! He is still King in my book!!!!!!
@ThomasPresley21 im sorry but i just don't believe you that you are his cousin. I suppose that you know someone called Mackenzie? and you are his fourth cousin? yeah maybe... PROVE IT
@Mark18240 Elvis had no one to blame but himself. For you to simply blame his doctors is like you saying Elvis was stupid or ignorant and didnt know what he was doing by taking all those narcotics. He knew those drugs were bad for him, but he was addicted to them. I am one of Elvis' biggest fans, but being a fan or not doesnt make the truth go away. Dr Nick tried to detox Elvis more than once. But quitting drugs is only possible when the patent himself wants to quit.
Elvis was and is the greatest singer ever... I believe I was born in the wrong generation...The music we have today dosn't compair to what they had in the 50's, 60's and 70's.. I wish I could have heard Elvis in person, but I wasn't born until after this great singer and man went to be with his savior....
I agree with you there is no singer alive today with the talent elvis posessed,he sang 5 different types of music and did them all good ..there will never be someone like that again due to all the technology,he did it all when the tech was not anything to brag about it was mostly natural talent
@sarahbeth81b I was a teenager in the 70's matter a fact I was 14 when Elvis passed away, I will never forget that day, or where I was. Also I liked alot of the 70's music, alot of the artist in the 70's based there careers around Elvis, Olvia Newton-John Tom Jones who was one Elvis's best friends, Neil Sedaka and Bruce Springsteen who jumped the gates of Graceland to try and give Elvis a song that he wrote. But today's music sucks, I have know idea what they are saying...........LOL
johnny cash was the man that sung hurt with true conviction, never was much of a elvis fan but he didn't deserve the lonliness that fame brought him he as a man had great compassion for his freinds and fans yu have to respect that R.I.P Elvis
Never lost his looks ! He had some Health troubles that distorted his looks, but he still looked better than the "Average Joe" on his worst day, than most on a good day !
Ive heard a lot about the 77 special, even Ronnie Tutt has stated he wont watch it, but Elvis looks so happy and sounds so great, its got to be a highlight
@owen320 Yes, Colonel Parker used Elvis as a cash cow....mainly to pay off Parker's gambling debts. He didn't care how sick Elvis was. Elvis became bored later in life, simply going through the motions. He was denied (by Colonel Parker) a leading role opposite Barbara Streisand in a remake of "A Star Is Born." Parker felt Elvis wouldn't get paid enough and allowed the deal to fall thru. Also, Parker denied Elvis a world tour. Had Elvis done these, I believe boredom wouldn't have killed him!
No other ELVIS can compare in voice strength and range like ELVIS 77'. Not the 56' , not the 68', not even the 73' ELVIS.Simply said... Leaves me in awe. "Before ELVIS there was nothing..." John Lennon
At about the 1:27 mark, he gives a little smirk, confident that he will hit the high notes and actually starts showing off. Absoluely amazing voice and beautiful performance.
Remember seeing this show on norwegian TV, and it was very emotional to see. Then came this moment in the show; Elvis singing "Hurt". His voice, totally removed from his soul, with that incredible range and emotion. Tears streaming, I must admit!
As anyone who knew ELVIS and grew up with him and his music you would know that even in pain and in his own personal sorrow he never let it show but it always came through in his songs . He could never hide his soul because he was willing to lay it bare for all to see just to bring happiness to his fans. He will never be forgotten for his Love and his generousity but mostly for his Voice which will never be beaten by anyone. There are some great singers out there but he is still singing his song
It's so sad to see him here. He was in so much physical pain, yet, bcuz he loved his fans so much, he still managed to put a smile on his face thru the pain. His whole life was putting a smile on his fans faces. His other whole life was his little girl. His MOST biggest inner thing was his love for Gospel music. God Bless U Elvis. You were the very best. You'll also never be forgotten.
Elvis was a risk- taker. I don't mean personally, but musically. He'd dedicate his heart and spirit to his audience, even when he was not feeling the best within himself - it's as if he had a direct line with God. Hang on...Elvis IS GOD!!!
Elvis was amazing, no matter what was going on in his life, his voice never faltered. This song gives me goose pimples........ I love you Elvis xxxxxx
Although he was sick and over weight he proves once again why they called him the king. No one even comes close! And I don't think we'll ever be blessed with another. Elvis a GREAT singer. Mesmerizing performer and decent human being. The world still LOVES and misses you Elvis. RIP.
The MYTH that ELVIS was so sick and couldn't sing has been exposed for the LIE it always was -by the way he sings this and many other songs in his last show LIVE !!!!
@1bridlington Unless one is in this position where you can't go anywhere without being mugged by fans and the concert schedule he kept, the time change, the red eye flights to the next city, the pressure of trying to please all of his fans, not knowing if it's day or night..Pleasing his fans was what kept him going but, Pleasing them was what killed him. Sooo if you ever tried to imagine to be in his shoes where you have millions of artists paying tribute to you because of what you did,Then Yes.
@Nintendogs122 Sorry but he does look awful! He was so beautiful before - a fine piece of man and right before he died he looked horrendous. Poor Elvis needed an entourage that cared about him and cared enough to tell him the truth and obviously he had neither.
@Animosity4UandU You would look awful too if you were retaining water like the hoover dam. That bloated look is from the oral steroids used to treat his very painful twisted colon. That's why his weight went up and down the last couple years of his life.
@Animosity4UandU poor Elvis entourage hated him because he was more successful than they were and i think they were pleased when Elvis died! In fact I think they might have just killed him because they were jealous n envious of this man! Elvis was said to be very active n even psyched up for his upcoming concert before being found dead in under 24hrs! The American dream buddy! I also want to believe black-magic played a role in Elvis demise as well because he declined really quickly after aloha!
@Animosity4UandU Yes they may have but their souls didn't they'll have to face their own truth! All I can tell u is Elvis death was very unusual n suspicious for someone who achieved so much to end up they way THEY said he did but I believe Elvis was killed! So they may have made a bundle but theirs souls will compensate because Elvis did so much for those jealous, envious, ungrateful barbarians! :)
@Susie3493 His looks?! The man still had a beautiful face if you look over the fact that it was four to five times its original size. But I agree, his voice. That man... could belt lyrics from the pit of his soul!
Watching this video, even after all these (approx) 50 years, still brings so much emotion. First his vocal abilities were....incredible. What has been released concerning Elvis' physcial health is a FRACTION of his actual diagnosis/illnesses. IF Colonel Parker wasn't stealing/robbing Elvis could have afforded to take time off during the years 1975-1977 when his health got increasingly worse. Thank you all for being Elvis Fans.
the greatest ever.......the greatest...love you Elvis

@1bridlington It should be a shame to you! At such age to speak - nonsenses!!
Elvis is beautiful - always! And your opinion - is interesting to nobody!
SOLOVEY1950 10 months ago
@1bridlington Unless one is in this position where you can't go anywhere without being mugged by fans and the concert schedule he kept, the time change, the red eye flights to the next city, the pressure of trying to please all of his fans, not knowing if it's day or night..Pleasing his fans was what kept him going but, Pleasing them was what killed him. Sooo if you ever tried to imagine to be in his shoes where you have millions of artists paying tribute to you because of what you did,Then Yes.

Was he really that SICK?
I find it hard to believe he was sick while performing this song...
No wonder he's a legend.
Allot of respect to this guy though.

@Animosity4UandU no he don't looks awful. hes only a little bit fat but not awful
Nintendogs122 11 months ago
@Nintendogs122 Sorry but he does look awful! He was so beautiful before - a fine piece of man and right before he died he looked horrendous. Poor Elvis needed an entourage that cared about him and cared enough to tell him the truth and obviously he had neither.
Animosity4UandU 11 months ago
@Animosity4UandU You would look awful too if you were retaining water like the hoover dam. That bloated look is from the oral steroids used to treat his very painful twisted colon. That's why his weight went up and down the last couple years of his life.
moejr1974 11 months ago
@moejr1974 you tell them, people have been misled too long about this subject Elvis was on medicene to make him look bloated.
ElvisFreak77 11 months ago
@ElvisFreak77 Elvis' doctor was overprescribing and i believe this is why he looks bloated you can even hear it in the Elvis' song way down!
Zecalran 11 months ago
@Animosity4UandU poor Elvis entourage hated him because he was more successful than they were and i think they were pleased when Elvis died! In fact I think they might have just killed him because they were jealous n envious of this man! Elvis was said to be very active n even psyched up for his upcoming concert before being found dead in under 24hrs! The American dream buddy! I also want to believe black-magic played a role in Elvis demise as well because he declined really quickly after aloha!
Zecalran 11 months ago
@Zecalran They certainly made a bundle off all those tell all books!
Animosity4UandU 11 months ago
@Animosity4UandU Yes they may have but their souls didn't they'll have to face their own truth! All I can tell u is Elvis death was very unusual n suspicious for someone who achieved so much to end up they way THEY said he did but I believe Elvis was killed! So they may have made a bundle but theirs souls will compensate because Elvis did so much for those jealous, envious, ungrateful barbarians! :)

he might lost his wife and health...but the look and the voice never left him..
elisaelvis 8 months ago 2
@Susie3493 His looks?! The man still had a beautiful face if you look over the fact that it was four to five times its original size. But I agree, his voice. That man... could belt lyrics from the pit of his soul!

I, too, am glad that Elvis was able to show the audience, (and himself!) that he could still be sooooo amazing!!

I feel hurt to think how many people have not realized the talent Elvis had, and all those he helped during his life. Elvis is missed.
