@Fagottron yep. if you wanna get into the high numbered sp's they all go hand in hand with a computer. the sp's are a little cheaper than the mpc's. but the mpc's ar a stand alone machine and you dont gotta mess with the computer. which i like. the workflow is easy with both of them. some say tht mpc's give a more grimey feel to your music, but when you think about it, its just a machine in which you input music to, you can use the effects givin, but its not gonna naturally give a grimey feel
yo i dont like that ''having to wait to switch patterns on the 404'', on the 303 i can switch patterns in realtime WHENEVER the fukk i want! yeah its harder to switches seamlessly but its more freedom! yo
@ODProfessorRhino eeeh man u push down [HOLD] and press to switch whenever in pattern mode - i own a thing - tho i really think that 6 sond poliphony is not enoungh - thing keeps cuting my samples if i try to play more composite drum line. it as well can't resample from pattern mode whitch is sad a bit you know - its still amazing piece of gear - especially for some of it's really unique effects and battery powered portability - man i make music in bed XD
my brother reversed my 808 pad on my 404 ad now I can't get it to frward I tried pressing reverse button but it does not go back its like its stuck. can I get my 808 back
can i use roland sp404 with program like reason ???? cuz i dont see any video about this every body who have roland sp404 use it real time sampling.....wtf
hey guys i just bought SP-404 .. and i purchased the CF card as 4 Giga .. is it compitable with it or not .. i didnt opened it yet .. but i heared its not compitale in 4 giga capacity .. help me out
yeh this is a great sampler, its real easy to use and understand as well
don't listen to krzone81 you can't compare it to the mpc, they both do completely different things and are used to get a certain feel to your music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can this do everything a MPC can?

@iMoZProductions false, the limited memory and bit rate of older samplers does give the resulting tune a distinctly "grimy" feel

@Fagottron MPC is more technical. SP is more on the fly that's why so many bands use it for stage.

can you change individual samples volume level? or just main output only.
otherwise all your samples have to be balanced before use, making it hard to live sample stuff?
Bandy500 1 year ago
@Bandy500 you can assign volume individually

DeftFlow 2 years ago
@DeftFlow it has midi in so you can trigger any sample in it with any midi software or hardware
