@AmandasVlog Congratulations on getting the job! I'm proud of you for dealing with the social anxiety so well. It's great that you have so much going for you and you realise that, that will help you overcome the anxiety faster than most. Personally, I can't see any redeeming qualities in myself and in the places I've worked I've felt stupid because I can't focus on the tasks at hand and nobody understands. Wish I could guess the store, I'd love a quiche from you :P

I'm a cashier and a floor supervisor at a grocery store. The anxiety I get in tough situations can be really difficult for me to deal with. I try breathing but sometimes that doesn't work.
Good for you! :) yeah youre having that anticipatory anxiety, I known it well..ughhh! It sucks I know. I can relate about the store meeting. I always dreaded those. I worked in a restaurant for years and the manager/staff meetings were mandatory. Soo stressful tho I knew everyone there. Maybe cause it wasn't as structured a situation as just working with them. Same ppl outside of work...was major anxiety too. Anyway I'm an expert on this s.a.d. lol jk. Just experience. You keep kickin its ass!!

My anxiety took a dip earlier this year. Very tough. And then I became a door to door salesman. I really didn't have a choice, I just needed a job. The first week was tough, but just talking to the huge amount of people has given me an insight into how repetitious people are. Like half the people said the same exact thing.
After 250 people, I became whatever. I quit afterwards, but because it paid terribly. I actually liked the job. You'll do ballin. BELIEVE. I believe in you.
I was a cashier all of last summer and I remember being very nervous about it, but it ended up being a fairly good experience. It's great exposure and you meet some interesting people for sure. lol :)

you have a right to be nervous!! but it will pass..like everything else. just don't give up now!!!!! fight your anxiety. i'm so happy for you, and i don't even know you! but i have been[and am in] your shoes.
