  • I know orbs don't really mean anything, but last time I went to the myrtles I had more of them show up than I had ever seen . I remember one shot having about 10 at once...crazy.

Interesting though, I've since switched to film & NEVER get orbs in my flash photos anymore. I think it's gotta have something to do w/ digital point-n-shoots and their cheap little flash's proximity to the lens. I now believe that if you really want accuracy and to avoid photo-artifact then film is your best bet.

  • Orbs are not evidence. Period. They can be questionable, but most times are easily explained as dust reflecting the light from your flash. I'm almost insulted by your "investigations". :\

  • Orbs are just energy, but alot of times its just dust or something. I think its like the same thing as having an actual apperation there, but not the entity isnt focused into a specific form.

  • OMG, when are you people gonna let go of the frickin 'orb' craze? what kinda bullshit is this, too many damn people wanting so badly to have experienced a ghost or haunting!?! When it happens you will be dumbfounded, you will shit your pants, you will feel real stupid about claiming that these stupid pics of orbs could compare to the thing that will haunt your nightmares forever! stupid asses!

  • I kind of agree. Orbs should never be used as Evidnece of ghosts. I believe in ghosts and i believe in the orb theory but orbs resemble dust way too much to be concrete. Even simple reflections off of slightly shiny materials can creat "orbs". Walking through a room can kick up a small amount of dust and be illuminated by the camera flash creating an "orb". I'm sick of "orb" pictures.

  • 3rd pic looks like an orb. the fourth one has to be a reflection from the camera.

  • I live in Louisiana, and the Myrtles is for real. I took my kids to visit Poverty Point and then the Myrtles. I took pictures using the same disposable camera. All pictures from Poverty Point turned out normal, and every last picture that I took at the Myrtles had orbs in them. The orbs were only around my children. This happens every time we visit with all pictures that we take. It is for real.

  • iv heard of this before ghosts wonting to be around childran .but i heard the story that the slave girl killed the mother and two girls so all loved kids i know it sounds daft as the slave killed the family but she only did it to keep her job and revenge on the judge for choping of one of her ears for snooping . iv never been there but i do like the story it sounds so sad but also a little loving thats not the right word you all know whot i mean see you

  • Dean, You really should go visit this place. It is very beautiful but definitely mysterious. You can spend the night inside the mansion and the carriage house has been turned into a really great restaurant. I normally do not believe in supernatural occurences but I must say that the Myrtles maked me question many of my beliefs.

  • i would love to go see it but i live in merry old england so its a bit far away to go on the bank holiday but if i ever do get to america thats were im going well that and victer colarado or sripple creak i love them places so hopfully see you soon

  • @dean11081988 The story of the slave girl is made up. Historical records of the day do not list her amoung the plantation holdings. Also historical records prove that the family was not killed by her. The mother and the two children a Boy and a Girl who died all died of yellow Fever not poison. The third child lived well into adulthood. I am not disputing that the house is haunted just not as they say.

Oh and before you ask yes I have done the research,,,,

  • @princesso8788 i would never say you dont know your stuff its just something i read once and i was passing it on wether it be true or not . if it is a lie why did the rumer get started or was it to make the place seem a bit more spooky

  • @dean11081988 thanks dean. Usually the first thing from someone is how do you know or you dont know what your talking aout. The rumor was started back when they first started tours to drum up tourist buisness. Look up the story of the original owner he was involved in the Whiskey rebellion the actual history is really quite interesting.

  • Ive read all about the Mytles. I wish to go there sometime. But the red glowing what-ever looks like an allimuminated face.

  • This happened to me once, I was at camp in Norway and they had this ghost story that was supposed to be true. After we heard the story we started taking a lot of pictures in our room just for fun and white orbs jut like that appeard on almost every single one.

  • i believe that orbes are sometimes caused by dust and reflected light. but i have never seen so many ocurances on my camera until i was there. my family and i definately had an experience there!

  • stfu it's a ball of light

    whopdie flippin do

i've been to myrtles around 5 or 6 yimes

    noyhing creepy happens their!

  • i hate orbs..........OMG ITS EITHER BUGS OR DUST!

  • I FUCKING HATE LIGHT ANOMALIES!!! Always easily debunked. Not saying these are fake, just stating that alot of these "orbs" are just specks of dust or reflections of light.
