@Dealow12 hmm. iam american and he is one of my all time faves and i believe one of the best drivers in history . all 3 had their strong sides. senna could qualify and had defense like no other . prost had calculation and smoothness down so well he looked slow in on boards .4 titles proves it . and mansell was one of the best passers ever i think in f1 . i mean the dummy . how many peeps pull that one off .

and he was robbed by his many mechanical DNf's

He was so good that he used lower car classes against higher ones and still won. However, when it comes to high speed racing, Senna is the best in the world. Remember the pole lap when he just went faster and faster? And he did beat tons of people despite the slower car. But to use a whole class slower

@carmodifire If you see Senna in go karts and in street cars on track. He was super fast. When he was a rookie theres a video of him racing with pros drivers. All of them in the same car and they were like 4 door sedans. Senna drove the crap out of those cars. People say that in the same car. Senna can't lose. Alot of those videos you see in BMI and Touge, if you notice tsuchiya most of the time is driving the faster car. Either that or he's facing some bad drivers.

@c312eal With the better car, he wins.And with the weaker cars. Tsuchiya hasn't raced professionally in years, unlike the other drivers he races, they are all currently pro. Tsuchiya is getting old, he does not drive as well as he used to. But he did get the lap record at Tsukuba and Usui touge, both with nsx.

Search "why tsuchiya started drifting" and "pluspy". Its a shame he didn't really get onto the international level, cuz then we could compare easily. Have u seen senna driving nsx? Amazing

@carmodifire Yeah I know why tsuchiya started drifting and i've seen pluspy. Tsuchiya's drifting technique is unique. Alot of the D1 drivers have really aggressive drifts. Tires burn up alot of smoke etc but when tsuchiya drifts, its so elegant. Its smooth and controlled. Yes I've seen Senna drive the NSX. The nsx is a great car because senna was the NSX's test driver during development. That means if Senna wanted a car at that time it wouldve been the nsx (:

@c312eal I think that Mclaren should build a carbon fiber chassis based on the nsx chassis and then Honda should build an engine for it. They could easily build a very powerful engine from a very little displacement. Add some new technology updates and it would be a new Honda-Mclaren super car called the ASX- Ayrton Senna eXperimental.

@carmodifire Honda had a super car coming out to replace the nsx. It was supposed to smash the GTR and teh LFA but they decided to cancel the project and concentrate more on green cars ): The new NSX was supposed to have a 5.0L V10 outputting 600bhp at 9000rpm. Although they cancelled the street version they're racing this car in the Super GT series. It's called the HSV-010. Look it up. The car looks amazing! But its running a 3.4L V8 500hp @ 10300rpm engine from formula nippon at the moment.

@carmodifire I didn't like the front engine NSX. Front engine isn't the spirit of the NSX. What defines the NSX chassis is Lightweight and MR layout put together with a High Revving V-TEC engine. It was supposed to be give a race car feel. The feel of F1 cars. The new one was going to be front engine with 4WD.... That's definitely not F1 feel. Yeah the H has too many stickers but its becuase its a race car. Just picture one thats all white with a black roof, spoiler. With gunmetal rims

After the 3:16 mark the numberplate says GU03WLC.

Mansell must have done something to the first car.

I love Nigel Mansell but did you know Jacques Villeneuve was Indy Car Champion,Indy 500 winner AND FI World Champion? Small wonder.He is also Canadian.He was in the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Olympics and I don't think anyone even thought twice about him.Very sad and disgusting.

IMO what I think happened was that due to technical problems with the first car, Top Gear changed Mansell's car and he had to restart the race with the second car. The show's editors must have mixed the 2 video footages accidently, which is why we see the "change" of cars.

Anyway I don't believe it was a cheat :-)

Just to point out to earlier post's about Hamiltons time remember Mansell weighs alot more probably 20/30 k.g's more which would add over a second to his time plus the fact he's knocking on 60 so that's an awesome time, rock on 'Nige'
