    Good eveninng, teacher and evryone...

If you say "I waited for ten minutes for the bus", in fact,

you have changed the time of the action. Your act...

Your action became itself "the Simple Past".

  • @mtc1982mtc hi Marcio! exactly! wow! thanks for your help in explaining this :)) you make such nice comments :))

  • Hello teacher, first of all, thanks for your great video =), I would like if you could do a video about the difference between the use of "Will and Going to" could you do it please? =O

English yet. I've been learning a lot.

    Thanks!

  • nice video but kinda confusing too cuz in school we have been taught by our teacher s tat we have to use since nd for for the time. like i have been watching this video since last ten minutes or for ten minutes.soo plz can u explain it miss

  • @TheXfiles1988 hi! good question! we say 'since' + a time, like 'I have been watching TV since 3 o'clock'. And we use 'for' with a duration, like 'I have been watching TV for 1hour.'

Is it ok? Let me know if you need more help with it )

Now tell me did I make mistake with my present perfect sentences.

  • @32Azhar Hi Azhar! it's very nice to hear from you again ) yes, I understand your work keeps you very busy :) I really like your examples of the present perfect. You did great! Just one small mistake: You should say: I haven't had free time to be online but I have really missed your videos and chatting with friends too. --I'm really glad this video has helped you. Should I make another present perfect video lesson? let me know if it would be helpful for you :-)

  • @EnglishForTwo Thank you very much Kerry :)

In fact, your teaching way very great, you translate what you say and speak not fast and not slowly, that make everyone even he has low English level or high level understand you .

  • FROM BRAZIL

    FROM MARCIO

The action of waiting began in the past and continues until now.

  • @mtc1982mtc hi Marcio! yes! this is a great explanation of the present perfect!

  • FROM BRAZIL

    FROM MARCIO

I don't believe that he kept you waiting, Kerry. Unbelieveble!

  • @mtc1982mtc wow, Marcio, great English: 'to keep you waiting'. Where did you learn this??? You sound so fluent, like a native speaker! And I didn't take it personally. I'm sure Michael just lost track of time. He's a very nice guy, actually ;-)

  • @EnglishForTwo Hello, dear Kerry.

Good evening... it is 8 oclock in Brazil.

And it's raining a lot. Where did I learn it?

By listening native speakers like you.

I think someone kept me waiting at the altar.

Please don't laugh... I'm a very sensite person.

Poor of me!!!!! and of course Michael is a very nice guy.

  • @mtc1982mtc yes, it's a sad story Marcio. Who is this girl who kept you waiting at the alter ;-)

  • He stood you up? Unbelieveable! A beautiful girl like you does not deserve that.

  • @isaacsenglish hi Isaac, well, everyone is allowed to blow it once, right? I'm sure Michael just lost track of time. I didn't take it personally :-) by the way, great phrasal verb!!! 'to stand someone up' means to not come to meet someone when you have an appointment with them! I should have used this phrasal verb in my videooo!! you are awesome Isaac :-)
