I love your take on things, I mean whenever I hear someone complaining that the Sims 2 was better because of this and that and the Sims 3 sucks because of these little things, obviously the Sims 3 is WAY better. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the Sims 2 still but I play The Sims 3 much more. I didn't like the Sims 3 when it first came out, than I played it more and absolutely fell in LOVE with it <3 So don't go judging the game because of one "little" thing you didnt like. And iv'e ran a test on Can You Run It as the one on EA didn't work for some reason (but iI think it's near enough the same setup) and the test is vertually at the end so hopefully it will run properly without going slow or anything :) hope this made sense hehe.

@Beckiiee009 Unless you have ALOT of crap on your pc, it won't run anything else slow. Heheh! But, make sure your pc is top and running because there are cases that the sims 3 makes your laptop run hot. That game isn't exactly laptop friendly.

I thought it was beautiful and cool 2! It would load because of my computer though. It was so cool to make the sim, but it was blurry. I got my money back though. If it, come out cheaper, I will probably will buy it again.

I would say it is a must buy! Sims3 loads way fast on my Toshiba Laptop, of course I DO take very nice care and make sure I have enough space for gaming! I didn't even need a new graphics card :D the only thing I didn't like was the town. You cannot see inside the community buildings (although you can see where you work, etc. now!) and you cannot place/change lots to later build on. You must pick from their preloaded selection in the pre-built town. but there is no loading inbetween driving now!

I agree that it is better than all of the previous Sims. I love the streamline play and the zoom effects! Thanks for this video, I really had my doubts about buying the Sims 3 but I really do need to give it a chance... for instance, hearing about not having an animation for getting into the cars, or the little bugs in the game, had me already not liking the game when I hadn't even played it... but obviously, there will be mods! and plenty of them! so when I finally purchase my new computer, I'll go out and buy it. Personally the biggest mistake someone can make when about to buy a game or go watch a movie or television show is to do it based off what somebody else says. That person has their own opinion on things just like we all do. I mean you never know just because something has all bad reviews doesnt mean that you might not like it. I like movies that are not good but dont we all? AND from the reviews Ive read from actual game sites this is the best sims game in the series and has been rated 8&9s/10.

I think it should run fine. Its not as big as the sims 2. The sims 2 was made for the XP initally, and then as the expansions came out, it was made for the vista and xp operatings systems. You should be fine.

I have ALWAYS ignored the negative hype over the gameplay itself, but the technical hype regarding slowness, crashing, disk errors etc. has been too overwhelming for me, and until a patch has been released (which i don't want to wait for if i buy the game right away), I am not going to get The Sims 3 as my grad present, instead, I am going to get The Sims 2 Open for Buisness and Seasons. :)

I agree. with Atari's Alone in The Dark, OXM gave it a 3.0, but i found that it was an enjoyable game. Maybe a little frustrating, but it was still a good game. i am having trouble with The Sims 3 freeezing, though. here are my specs:

I would definitely say get more ram. There is a video in my favorites that you can see on the main page of my channel showing you have to instal ram yourself. Only takes TWO MINUTES! lol! Not even that long. There is a link to a site on the second review video I did and that should help you update any drivers that you have and you can also do a defrag on your pc. That may help as well.

Well, you are certainly not the only one who is going through that. The forum is swarming with emails and posts to EA about that. But, I am sure they are working on a patch right now to fix that as well as other issues. You can surely hit up the forums and email tech support to bring it to their attention. Check the forums to see if people found a way to fix this problem.

But, if people cant be patient for that, then dont blame the game. The game is suppose to entertain until perfected and its doing that.

Thats ok! You can still play the sims 2. There is no rule that says you had to stop playing and loving sims 2 because the sims 3 is out. If you like playing the sims 2, go ahead! lol! The sims 2 is awesome. However, everyone has now moved on to the sims 3. And by the time you start to really get into the sims 2, most of the community will have converted to the sims 3. But, either one you choose, you wont lose out on anything. You can always wait until November for black friday when the prices for pc games will drop. Get the sims 3 then, if you want.

Man, have I been commenting so much on your vids. Anyways, you have a strong point. I have no real issues with the game, except some small tidbits. Example is when my sim was going to take out the trash, and I wanted for her to do something else after intentionally, but she flat out dropped it... I laughed at it though xD

But yes, reviews can be a bit misleading. Mario Hoops 3-on-3 had some poor reviews, but I stuck with it and bought it. Turned out to be EXTREMELY fun.

Well, a dvd rom holds 4gbs more than a cd. A Cd rom couldnt help even a taste of what a dvd can hold. Thats why they put them on dvd roms.

Yeah, I believe the patch will fix it, but the problems have to be brought to the attention of technical support at ea. Thats the only way they will be able to stay on top of things. They may not beable to fix everything the first go around, but they do have a thing where they constantly update patches.

ur so right, i tend to watch vids of gameplay rather then reviews, take trauma centre on ds i saw a vid on here and liked what i saw. i liked being able to operate. reviews sont mean anything. like film reviews, some slate very good films
