He is one of the few who seems to understand the violin -a most beautiful

approach to this work -let's hope he doesn't end up like the so called virtuosos

of to-day sawing away for all they are worth. A lovely player who really gives

song to the violin .

Great musicality here. Pure and unaffected playing, warm and full of appropriate subtle shades. Difficult to imagine it could be improved on; very moving but not sentimental. What a talent, he is showing great use of the bow, the key to all good fiddling!
