Good job...my outcoming was...shall we say not so good...my mother, the iceberg that she is, didn't care one way or the other, my father just kept becoming more and more abusive until I had to let him go...I gave him a warning that I had come to the end of his s...t and if he said one more thing, or pulled any more crap in front of other people -trying to put me down, embarrass me, I will end our relationship...he did...I did. When he died I felt nothing, absolutely nothing. Big hug!

Your mom sounds so awesome! and your dad too. That has to be one of the most frightening things to do. I never came out to my parents, now they are gone and its too late. I really regret it. I have come out to alot of people since then and it seems like a lifelong process. Good for you that you did it young and are so well adjusted.
