  • 1:30 was my favorite , upload more !

  • nice

  • Very nice man! :)

  • Good skills, very hard to autorotate such small helis.

  • Can you tell me the point of autos in rc helis? When will you ever have an engine failure and most fails are electronic like servo failure and the other times its like a blade coming loose.

  • @magicmike1122 Not if you have a nitro... but it can always come in handy...

  • That's a bad autorotation and a hard landing too. If you got a simulator its better to train there rather than having your 450 land like that.

  • Great autos... and gutzy with a 450!! Well done!

  • what is the trick to this auto-rotate?

  • @heli3dcolombia

    The trick is to -

    1. Go high

    2. Keep forward airspeed up

    3. Only flare at the last moment

    4. Don't go full negative pitch

  • @nellezor perfect I can doit ID VIDEO IN YOUTUBE: rLa56098HHQ

  • @nellezor And don't go full positive pitch to flare, it'll drop like a rock, instead ease into it

  • and my woman wont video my heli-flights!!...i guess i should get a new one.i love my heli more than her...lol!

  • Proper skill man, my congratulations.

  • perfect

  • very nice autos on a 450 wow i have the same bird can you tell me what gyro setting you have numbers thanks

  • hey mate

what headspeed are you running in this vid and what height are you hitting the throttle hold.

ive got a mini titan and ive been to chicken to try autos on such a small heli from about 1ft.

  • @philliphamilton2 Hi mate, I was running the Align 100% Stock Trex450Pro combo kit with 3s 2200mAh lipo.

I never checked the HS but I just ran throttle up on a flat 100% line in my TX.

As to the height at which I hit TH, well just until its hard to gauge the orientation then i start some forward flight then hit TH.

  • good autos........

  • Good flying and I love the birds. What part of Austrailia is this. Thanks

  • @birdmanbl SA mate =)

  • I love the sound of the birds. What location was this shot? just curious

  • wow. Just saw this for the first time. Amazing. thanks

  • :( i dont know how to assembly my 450 :(

  • @cramtoro Try helifreak and look for Finless bobs tech room videos.

  • @cramtoro read the manual

  • Pfff nice, maybe i schould train the auto-rotaition too....

  • T-rex 450 is small for autorotations!

  • ohh and the crash bent his flight bar and he needs a new mainshaft now causde blades hit the ground so yes theres damage

  • @TheDrDeer

Really the head speed was already drained when the first auto failed. your just trolling now I will leave you alone.

  • Fair play mate that certainty does not come over nite and must be hard with a light 450 iv only just mastered hovering lol .....

  • @TheDrDeer

I believe you just watch a 450 pro some a few auto's? I would recomend you pratice more on the sim.

  • @Rich2B1 i think u should shut the hell up cause i can auto but u cant pick a spot to land u just land it and if the tail even just a little bit hits than ur helis tail drive is striped so ik what im talking about

  • @TheDrDeer I have been flying for a year now on a 450 size, even the belt drive tails will auto. sounds like you need more pratice or sim time.

  • @TheDrDeer

It can be done, as the video just proves it. LOL some peoples kids!!!

  • @Rich2B1 and he crashed dumbshit

  • @TheDrDeer well...he s doin them!!! it s the weight of the heli that makes them hard to auto! heavier blades makes it easier to keep headspeed up but lighter blades are easier to get headspeed back up on the flare.so there ya go. dr.dickweed.

  • @TheDrDeer Kind of a dumb thing to say right in the face of the proof don't you think? Oh and I checked your vids... I'm not sure you qualify as "damn good"... mediocre is more like it... lol. Oh and Spelling, grammar and Capitalization are things you might want to investigate before posting publicly.

  • @TheDrDeer Just because you shouldn't always believe the internet doesn't mean it's always fake. You really think thousands of people out there are pro's and video trickery and can make these helis look unreal with editing??? It's real, try it. I have but with a headspeed of 1800rpm so it dropped like a rock(from 2 feet).

  • Lovely auto's!!!

  • Very nice autos.

  • Nice autos mate what pitch are running i notice eou sort of stop it coming down about 3 times by adding a bit of collective

do you come straight down from sky or do you have some forward flight on approach ?

    Cheers

  • @satcheee forward airspeed slows your rate of decent with translational lift, you can probably do them with zero airspeed but it would be tricky.

  • @satcheee Hi, I am running full +13 / -13 ish pitch. Once I hit TH, I go to almost full negative pitch but not all the way as I noticed instead of speeding the blades up, it starts to choke. Once the heli is nearing the ground I try to slow its rate of decent without losing to much HS. Then right at the end, I will try and time the positive pitch pump right when the heli is just off the ground using the remainder of the HS. Forward speed approah is recommended.

  • those are REALLY impresive auto's!!! great work

  • Great !!!

  • il faut avoir le coup de main quand meme bravo!!

moi je tenterai pas avec un 450 plutot avec un 600 deja..

  • Would this be a good size to start training on? Also nice autorotations I will show this to a friend of mine who doesn't believe you can do autos on a Trex 450. Well Done 10/10 I can't wait to fly this heli.

  • Ideally, the trex 450PRO is NOT a good heli to be practicing auto rotations on. The blades do not carry enough inertia, thus not allowing much room for error.

A larger size heli, say a 50 size or 90 size will have much larger blades so there is more 'reserve' energy in the blades allowing you to cushion the landing.

However it is possible with the 450 PRO, because it is torque tube driven meaning less drive train loss.

Thanks for the compliments, enjoy your 450PRO! Best 450 sized helis IMO.

  • EXCELLECNT JOB!!!

  • Thanks!

  • 1:36 was good

  • Thanks =) I'm surprised it slid on the grass and did not dig in!!

  • nice!! awesome autos ;)

did you feel any difference between the align blades and the radix? are the radix better for autos?

anyway 5*, keep it up!! :D

  • I destroyed the stock align blades before I could attempt an auto with them =(

However, I have a set of Rotortech blades which are about 5mm~ ish longer than the Radix and that made quite a difference!!

  • thanks!!
