I got it when it came out after my Moto RAZR mysteriously and randomly just turned off and never turned back on. I've had my upstage for almost two years, and i have the case with the spare battery, even with two batteries it doesn't keep a charge. also don't bother buying a blue tooth headset for it because the options for it sucks. Unlike most phones that use blue tooth, this phone doesn't play music through the headset, the only way is to use the long adapter and plug in a headset (convenient?) I dont think so. if you think about buying this, i strongly recommend not.
The flipping can get annoying but you gotta sacrifice for the slim design. Had mine for 2 yrs already. I'm not ready for a new phone though. Downsides are: Flipping, short battery life(without the extended batt), and you really can't play games, & not a loud speaker. Upsides: Extremely small, plays 3g2, MP4 videos, MP3 Music. A 4GB Micro SDHC also works as well. I have full length movies on my UpStage. I can take this video and have it on my phone in 3 or so minutes. I also get free ringtones!
Also, it says only up to a 2GB Micro SD works but a 4GB Micro SDHC works. I also tried an 8GB SDHC but with no luck so don't spend your money for this. Ran out of characters to explain all this above. I have movies, cartoons, music videos, music, and FREE Ringtones all on my UpStage. MSG Me for details on how to do this.

As with any touch phone, you have to go to 'settings' and turn down the sensitivity.
Oh, if you keep the wallet on it, the constant flipping will render the external battery useless within 3 to 4 months. It shorts the wires, after a while. I've been through a couple of those wallets already.

how much did you pay, becuase after talking to sprint on the phone, we bought 3 instincts for 59.99 each, and we were 1 year into the contract, so without calling them it would have been 375 per phone, so over 1000 dollars, cause one year gives you a 75 dollar credit of unlock price

flipping it doesn't get old...quite the opposite actually. I was given the phone at work and HATED how often I had to flip it at first, but after about 2 days, it became as natural as flipping a clamshell phone open. texting is exactly the same as on any other phone without a qwerty keypad, not sure what people are griping about there. And there's a mini-menu on the phone side, so you don't even have to flip it to send or read text messages anyway.

very easy to text with, like a normal phone. Although i advise u look into getting the LG RUMOR phone if you are a heavy texter, its the newest phone with a nice hidden QWERTY Keyboard

I have this phone (got it about 2-3 weeks ago) and I've gotta say it's simply amazing, 9.5/10. I don't find myself flipping it nearly as much as you warn others, but it is a bit of a con. :) Nice video.
You don't flip back and forth to text. You go to the keypad side (easiest way, mp3 side is slooow texting) and, you know the drill. The camera is amazingly high quality. Even though it's 1.3 Megapixel, the pictures look pretty clear.

the older version sprint phones can bluetooth ring tones and unlocked sprint phones from what I've heard. Not sure how to unlock them though

i have this phone for months and its good. but the thing is, i cant bluetooth ringtones.
i believe none of the sprint phones can.

this phone sux. i think it was a poor idea for a phone. it will not stream music and you have to turn it around and around to get anything done on it. it has a screen on both sides so it is hard to keep in your pocket for fear of breakin one of them. so ya no......

oh yeah and the next prob you should know about is using the phone at night is a bitch...i go to sleep and my phone ring,the buttons light up for a second and i have to struggle to click the right button to answer and hang up the phone,other than that,the phone is perrrrrfect.

i had that phone! But someone stole it... So I'm considering getting the Beyonce version of the UpStage or the Rumor.. When you first get it, you have to get use to the flip button and the touch keyboard...
it's was really made for young people... i don't think a business man or woman would do good with that kind of phone... because's not that type of phone..

i think it sounds pretty great myself. my aunt has one and ive listened to the music on my memory card through that phone. i think it sounds quite nice for a thin phone like that one

i havent checked it out on my aunts phone but ive heard from a sprint user that you can use the songs you have on your memory card and make your ringtones. im not too sure how that works cuz like i said, i havent tried it out

flipping it doesn't get old...quite the opposite actually. I was given the phone at work and HATED how often I had to flip it at first, but after about 2 days, it became as natural as flipping a clamshell phone open. texting is exactly the same as on any other phone without a qwerty keypad, not sure what people are griping about there. And there's a mini-menu on the phone side, so you don't even have to flip it to send or read text messages anyway.

very easy to text with, like a normal phone. Although i advise u look into getting the LG RUMOR phone if you are a heavy texter, its the newest phone with a nice hidden QWERTY Keyboard

i just purchased my Upstage and it only seems to work when im using it with the battery wallet, it turns off and wont turn back on when i remove it from the battery wallet...should i return it, or am i doing something wrong?

probably because you kept that extended battery case on it... That happened with my UpStage.. I would always dropped it but it had no scratches on it... But I recently lost mine... But my friend who works for Sprint probably going to get my that Rumor phone.. But I miss my UpStage..

I FINALLY got this phone! It is the BEST phone that sprint has right now! It has a bunch of great festures like Srpint TV and music, camera and camcorder. THIS PHONE IS AWSOME!

but the camera is really good and texting isnt that hard either..

I love this phone. The flipping doesn't bother me at all. The Camera and the Camcorder are great. The MP3 feature is awesome.

not its not required to listen to music. phone comes with a software cd you install on your comp and that lets you upload mp3s to your phone.

I have this phone (got it about 2-3 weeks ago) and I've gotta say it's simply amazing, 9.5/10. I don't find myself flipping it nearly as much as you warn others, but it is a bit of a con. :) Nice video.

You don't flip back and forth to text. You go to the keypad side (easiest way, mp3 side is slooow texting) and, you know the drill. The camera is amazingly high quality. Even though it's 1.3 Megapixel, the pictures look pretty clear.

I just found this phone today while browsing Sprint, and I have to say I am now impressed. I did some research and was a little worried with some comments people said with the constant flipping, but I think I'd get used to it now matter what, lol.
