You're missing the point. It's not about the baby so much as it is about questioning gender roles and what's acceptable/necessary to birth and raise a child. No one here has claimed this to be some kind of miracle unless you feel as though that's the impression that is being sent. In that case, well, you're mistaken.

As long as he has female "parts" and is healthy, etc, then he can conceive, just like any "normal" woman get conceive through invitro fertilization. (He could probably conceive the "normal" way too, by having sex with a guy, but that's not an option for him because he's married.)
However, since he was born, he has always felt male. In a sense, his brain is male. Just like you wake up and know that you're male or female, his brain tells him that he's male. I think that this is a wonderful thing and that he is showing people that it doesn't matter what you are, as long as your happy and you do what YOU want to do, then nobody needs to say otherwise. He was born female, with female DNA and female reproductive organs. That won't change because you can't change your DNA. As long as he has female "parts" and is healthy, etc, then he can conceive, just like any "normal" woman get conceive through invitro fertilization. (He could probably conceive the "normal" way too, by having sex with a guy, but that's not an option for him because he's married.)

Legally, he is considered a man, by the state and personally.
