im doing western archery where theres a peep sight on the drawstring and your draw hand end up at your mouth.
in chinese is the rear sight higher on the string or do you aim using the shaft??
the only problem with aiming in western archery is that different distances compell you to use one of the three different front sights due to the angle you're looking through the sights..
@TsangBokyan Chinese archery, like most traditional archery, does not use a sight. It relies on instinctive archery skills. It's just a bow, arrow, and the archer.

Compound bows with sights are deadly accurate, and can probably out shoot most hang guns. But I would not call it the "best system."
An intuitive archer, without any sights, had been able to hit a target at .50 miles [Korean record] and more. During Mongolian invasion of Europe, a typical Mongol was able to hit a target at .30 mile away, with no sight. But that requires many years of training.

Alot of people just doesn't realize but a sight system is the best way too go!
It's 100% safer and you know where the projectile is going.

Olympic traditionalbow shooter's used sight's.
Compoundbow's are the most deadliest bow,
Traditionalbow's are nice i like all bow's...I'm just a compoundbow shooter.
