Agreed, and this is a mistake that Fox affiliates are hurting themselves with (**coughWTTGcough**). Kudos to WTVT, and I believe WJBK also, for using it the RIGHT way: The "News Edge" branding was only meant as a name moniker for the secondary latenight newscast (11pm-eastern/10pm-central). It was never meant as a branding for the entire news division. Also, an observation: It's a shame TBC didn't play up the channel # in marketing itself - it's the only major OTA VHF channel in the market.
"Live from Austin, This is FOX 7 News at Noon"

I'm sorry, but they should've stuck with just Fox 7 News. They didn't have to run the "News Edge" name into the ground.
