k whats the dif in mcboot and usbadvance what are they used for why do i need them. and is it possible to put save game files onto a external hard drive edit them and putthem back
@capj4zombieglitcher usbadvance = play images stored on usbharddrive.. mcboot = gives ability to use NON-sony sanctioned software that would other wise normally be disabled or unplayable on the ps2. and yes it is possible.
can i use burned armax disc on already moded PS2 and make free mc boot and than put that memory card in not moded PS2 and play burned games or i must have original armax disc
when i swap the game disc with the copy, then everything goes well, but when i try to load the ELF launcher then it just shows a black screen i know alot of ppl who have the same problem ,
@TheBuruu free mc boot(FREE MEMORY CARD BOOT fcmb for short) only affects the ps2 memory card. On a 8 meg card it takes up roughly 2/5ths leaving the rest for save games or whatever... it will not affect USB sticks or ps2 network adapter installed harddrives negatively at all by itself. It just provides a means to run software not sanctioned by SONY, be it homebrew or linux or whatever. It usually comes prepackaged with great software. video players, homebrew, backs. have fun :)
@supadupaskater777 what you never seen a workshop in complete disarray following MAD PROJECTS BEFORE... try generating your own explosives out of water, making a 2 stroke motorbike, and modding 2 or 3 electrical devices in your garage in a short time space.... say 3 months while holding a 50+ work week at your job. What? you can do all that and keep yer garage clean?!? geez i'm gonna hire you!!! when can you start? NO SERIOUSLY, PLEASE, WHEN CAN YOU START!?
@jonlukew sorry for the delay in responding, check out FMCB(Free MC Boot) home page... they say there are plenty of people who would copy FMCB to your memory card for you to save you the trouble. once you get your card hacked its no problem to install to another card... probably mail your card off with a SASE or something like that. and post again if you have no luck there... keep in mind mail is expensive to/from the US from AUS but ill help you out...
@superalvacado Hi me AGAIN. I have just checked on the FMCB home page & found out that a guy in AUS is doing it for PAL consoles. Thanks for the help.
P.S: He is in Brisbane AUS
P.S.S: The guy in the US only does them for US consoles.

to boot normal just pull out you memory card before you turn it on, you can reinsert the card after you game boots and save like normal
