And finally... I lost a lot of times here. I was eager to finish the game and face Ocelot. That had some influence in my commentary. MGS3 had the coolest boss battles of all MGS games. By far!.. And I do think that Wesker from RE is a great example of an enemy. Oh, and he is a chauvinist also!..

And I only play RE and MGS games so dont go saying I am a hater of those series. Oh, and God of War and Devil May Cry also. This is what is called good taste. And Kratos is a chauvinist too...

@19844joao Chauvinism isn't something to be proud of, and if you're going to cite fictional characters who are misogynists, it won't be any of those characters, ESPECIALLY Big Boss and Solid Snake, who are just and kind. "A woman?" is an inquiry of surprise; it's rare to find a woman on the battlefield, especially when she's as feminine as Meryl and EVA were. Not even Ocelot and Volgin were chauvinists; they were sadists, that's different. And they respected the HELL out of The Boss.

@19844joao Also, yeah, Ocelot is my favorite character, but I honestly don't think the gun jamming was intended. Despite being a badass, he was arrogant and a show-off. No matter what his plans were to meet Snake as ADAM, considering Ocelot's character, he probably wanted to test him first. And Snake obviously really impressed him; he admired Snake a lot. Even after the credits, he affectionately refers to Snake as "John" for a second. He def wasn't faking the admiration/friendship.

He was expecting Snake to jump. And who learns CQC in a matter of hours? To the quality of Big Boss? Of course he knew that from the beginning..

@19844joao No, Ocelot was ordered during the Snake Eater mission to assist Snake, NOT during the Virtuous Mission (when his gun jammed on him). And technically, there's no way he would have learned CQC before Snake Eater because it was a new method created by The Boss and Snake (and thus probably not part of any training he had before). I believe he simply learned from The Boss and Snake, himself, considering there was a lot of things he copied from him (like his trademark gesture + phrase).

CQC is a basic form of combat, Ocelot would be smart enough to understand it rapidly. It's simple.. You just know to know what to do. Its a very spontaneous technic. And requires extreme criativity also. After this I actually went to battle her again, and tried to do nothing or using the fake pill to trick her. It actually works, cause when she runs at you...

@19844joao haha are you trolling me or did you really not know Ocelot was The Boss's and The Sorrow's son? It should all be on Gaudi, the MGS Database. On top of that, EVA tells Snake at one point that he's the son of legendary mercenaries, and that his mother has a snake-shaped scar. :)

And nope, the HD versions aren't too different. If you're wondering if the controls are like that of MGS4, they're only as such in Peace Walker. :)

I particularly enjoy the scene when Ocelot stares at Solidus and admiringly tells him, "You're the spitting image of Big Boss." @19844joao Well, Ocelot also says "sorry boss" when he killed the DARPA chief (AKA SIGINT) "accidentally," but what Liquid doesn't know is that Ocelot killed him on purpose because Ocelot wanted to kill all those involved in the Les Enfants Terribles project (he and EVA even had Naomi make her brother kill Dr. Clark AKA PARAMEDIC). Sigint (the DARPA chief) probably knew that Ocelot wasn't in league with Liquid, and that's why Ocelot made it look as if he tortured him to death.

That implies that he was assisting Snake during that mission also.. he was supposed to make contact with Snake, thats why he was there. Or read the timeline/info on the GAUDI database. :) Also, about Ocelot knowing who EVA was, it shouldn't really matter if he knew or not. They were both using Snake to get the Philosophers' Legacy anyway. :)

Ocelot was indeed supporting Snake.. but that was only during the snake eater mission. Thats when Snake was supposed to contact Adam and Eva. So, how did Eva get the info to be at the factory waiting for Snake? Ocelot was working for CIA, he was one of the agents America had sent two years ago. But Eva wasn't...

@19844joao No, in the Virtuous Mission, Snake's goal is to rendezvous with Sokolov at Rassvet, NOT Adam. In the Snake Eater mission, he's supposed to meet with ADAM at Rassvet. The reason for this is because when Volgin fired that Davy Crockett, he blamed it on The Boss, changing the ENTIRE mission to make it seem as if America isn't attacking the Soviet Union (basically, Snake had to kill The Boss to avoid WW3). Thus, it was during SNAKE EATER that Ocelot was made to help Snake.

you have to push O before she grabes you

and if she grabs you ,you can push X to get her off ,but she will try to slam your head on the ground anyway so you push O to get her off

you can also if you fail at pushing O at first and then fail again at pushing X and O you can still get her off you right before she slams you on the ground but i'm not sure how ,maybe X and O at the same time ,but you will not stun her doing this

CQCing her also does WAY more damage than shoting her with anything

I agree. This boss battle is really difficult, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the CQC is unfair. I played this on the easy difficulty, and it still took me way too many tries to beat it. I don't mind failing at a boss multiple times if I can come up with a winning strategy in the process, but in this case I could never find a good strategy to use. And the reason why there's a long pause after Volgin and The Boss is so you have time to pick up their camo.

This fight is pretty tough on Hard Mode, naturally.

It was even more difficult because I had just a couple of Mosin. Nothing else.

Oh and I wanted to get all 3 snakes.

The Boss basically will out CQC you 4 out of 5 times, and if you have trouble getting her down, try the handkerchiefs.

Also keep in mind that you can use continues, but you probably knew that.

Just finished the game on Hard Mode, got the SAA, the Infinite Facepaint, the EZ gun, the Patriot, the Tux and the STEALTH!

The reason she calls him Jack is that Jack is, believe it or not, actually a nickname for John, much like Billy is a nickname for someone named William (Bill Clinton is actually William Clinton), and so forth. You can actually get the whole Jack being John conversation in this game, I think when you call the Major and get the talk about Ivan, possibly about Johnny when you're in the cell

I've actually beat Ths Boss right at the ten minute mark and won, She was like "ten seconds!" and I just charged her screaming "AAHHHHHHH" and she was like "get ready!" and then I pwnd her right as the song ended "SNAKE EATERRRRR!" and the jazzy trombone ending and *whispering* snake eaterrr. Then I got the Snake camo and beat the game tranqing every boss.

I kinda wished you made a separate video for the fight and fought during the song since it's so epic! But it's okay! ;D
