Actually, it's called an Acapella. Some songs have acapellas, which is just the vocal track before it was mixed down with the rest of the song. =)

As this really sucks, the Songsmith program did a much better job with this song than many of the other examples found on Youtube. Songsmith is a program where someone can sing into a microphone attached to their computer and the program makes up the music. As a joke people play music from well known songs to see what the program does and then post it on Youtube if it is funny.
