I am just blown away by the awesomeness of this song. I have a brother who is struggling with a heroine addiction..and we are trying to intervene on his behalf. I listen to this song and am reminded that it is from within the darkness we often find the light. Thanks again for posting it. (personal note: How awesome would this song be for a Blade Runner remake?)

I am trying to get back the official video for 77 Sunset Strip so I can upload it onto here. Plus a private video done for Green Raven Blonde in 1999-2000 or so. Both are very well worth watching. Its just a lot of record company uselessness, and inertia, this was before DVD, so things were done in video then. I have to say, they will both be worth the wait.....Simon Williams made both these videos, as he did for for 'The Beat That My Heart Skipped' and ' The Search Goes On'.

Fantastic song. I remember when I first heard it several years ago on the radio (late at night) and its appeal still applies. Very hypnotic and soothing; repetitiveness is not necessarily a bad thing and this song is a great example of that.

I am the man who sang it. It's based around a few things. Giving up an addiction to weed for one. But the thing really is about how addiction makes you feel claustrophobic...and that can be warm and comforting up to the point of realisation that you are wasting everything important to you .hence the starkness of everything in the music.

Obviously, I had little to do with the storyboard of the video but I like the symbolism of the oppressed breaking free.LCx

I ran across this video back in..2003? It came on in between flicks on a movie channel at like 3am. It was spellbinding. Songs that are stripped to bare archetype, simple hooks, they hit hard and fade fast, but this one has always stuck with me. Don't give a shit about the video, but the song is one of my favorites, where Radiohead, Massive Attack, and Sneakerpimps usually live. Bravo.
