I always enjoy listening to her play but Rosalyn Tureck's Well-Tempered is of an other class still than Hewitt's and I don't think Hewitt or anyone else will ever get close.

I've been following Angela Hewitt for many years now on her blogs and e-mailing her. She is so thoughtful and amazing as a performer. She is timeless, people will be listening to her interpretations centuries from now.

Good performance. I love Bach, but sometimes the pretense of the performers is nauseating. Just because you are a great pianist doesn't mean you have to drip with vanity.

I first heard Angela Hewitt on Sirius and she was described as the heir apparent to the title of prime interpreter of Bach from Glenn Gould. Her playing has a bit more emotional content I think. Just a style thing I guess, some musicians just strike a chord in the listener's heart.
