Great performance ..Ronnie and louis swing like theres no tomorrow here..i love that journalist's description of louis from many years ago "the sober and sombre appearance of a prosperous greengrocer"
No need for the minusses, Wes' version is great! Not too mention that this one is very well played aswell but for me aswell Wes' tops both this one and Horace Silver.
MPS have recently remastered & released all the George Shearing;NHOP;Louis Stewart trio recordings in a 4 cd specially priced set.Wonderful listening!
Louis Stewart....he is Irish. I followed hime for years when I live in Ireland. A real smoking hot improviser of the old school...smooth lines, perfect harmony, impecable excution

shredding in a suit - now that is what I call AWESOME!
nickkellie 1 year ago
@nickkellie
Shredding?
Do you mean playing fast and accurately?
If so please say so, I'm sick of these stupid expressions.
The English language is colourful, varied and enormously expressive and subtle. All things that you are obviously not.
