@AlexGRFan97 not really all F1 cars have to be able to complete a 3 roll system without core body damage, they knew he would be fine, it was just unexpected, most likely injury would have been a broken arm

I remember thinking for a moment after the TV images picked up Mark flipping into the air at speed, "This is going to be nasty". Obvious thing to think of course, but it was more the style of the accident that had me most worried. It seemed frighteningly similar to Jeff Krosnoff's appalling fatal accident at the Toronto CART race in '96, in which his car was sent flipping at speed into the fencing and hitting a tree at unbated speed. Thank Heavens the runoff at that corner in Valencia is big...
