  • I love the Alla Turca, but it somehow doesn't fit with the many suicides of Archie Bunker....

  • The music over the dialog ruins it. Why would this need editing??? OH, THAT'S RIGHT, it didn't.

  • Poor Archie, the dingbat really knew how to drive him insane with her long winded stories.

  • I liked the one, which isn't here, where he strops the straight razor, pulls a hair from his head, splits the hair, and cuts his throat.

  • I'm laughing hysterically with tears rolling down my face!! Thanks for this video.

  • I've done the loaded gun while listening to my buddy ramble on, lol!

  • Poor Archie.

  • LMAO...its been 40 years since I have seen much of this video. I forgot how hilarious it was!

  • Archie Bunker is like Harry Callahan on film: If it wasn't for the 60's they would of not been created in the 70's to express their feelings on the way life should be.

  • Dingbat Prissy, what's the background music?

  • you dumb fuck...

  • I can barely type this because of the tears in my eyes. Oh man, this guy was FUNNY!

  • Thanks for posting, but record shit better please.

  • Freakin' CLASSIC!!!! What talent!!!!

  • " You don't buy beer, you rent it" -Archie. You got to love it!

  • Very funny. You forgot the one where he slit his own wrists.

  • rather her the dialogue that goes with each clip than the ragtime piano..oh well

  • There isnt anyone today that could make those classic funny facial expressions like Carroll O' Connor....truly a comedic genius!

    l

  • I can play this osng on the piano. :P

  • Just too funny. Classic stuff. Thanks for uploading.

  • my favorite will always have to be when he "hangs himself" and he pretends to dangle around lmao

  • what episode is the one where he slits his wrist

  • Boy, I tell ya. They don't make 'em like Carroll O'Connor anymore. He was Classic!

  • Thank you!! This is the best!! Archie is hilarious!!!

  • anyone have the original audio too? i need to hear Edith!

  • does anyone have the original audio with it too? I need to hear Edith too.

  • 1:55. Love the look on his face.

  • women folk, they'll be the death of us.

  • Where's the one where he slits his wrists?

  • Brilliant.

  • Oh Archie, there will never be another like you.

  • Maaauuuddee!

  • great post, thanks for sharing

  • I was trying to find the russian roulette scene to show to a friend, but the overlaid music takes about 3/4 of the funny away from it.

  • brilliant actor

  • OMG that was hilariously funny!

  • These should be shown to every aspiring actor. The death by hanging is especially excellent.

  • Omg, thanks for this!

I've had Archie's bit of blowing his head off in my mind since childhood.

I use it all the time.

    :D

  • WARNING: The faked suicides are all done by a trained old man who's had enough of his wife's inane stories. Do not try this in public, unless you want to look like a loon.

  • Anyone got what happened at 1:20?

  • @ZanyAnton

@1:20 Archie is upset because he just discovered that Mike sat in his chair - & broke it. So Edith had it sent to Kressler's Department Store for repairs. However, there was a mixup so it ended up in a junk pile that an artist picked up to use in his American Gothic exhibit in a museum. (This was the final show with Archie's chair in it; this was also a clever tie-in to Archie & Edith's chairs being donated to the Smithsonian Institute).

  • THOSE where the days.

  • At 1:53 Edith mentions her cousin Maude, and Archie responds "MUUUUAAAAADDE" (he always pronounced Maude's name like he was passing a gallstone as he said it). The best part about these bits was that Edith would almost always continue to with her story, completely oblivious to Archie's "suicide".

  • RIP Carroll O' Connor,Make God Laugh!!

  • there is nothing like this on tv today! God, I miss this wild kind of commedy. Nothing pc about this.

  • @nomadnametab I agree!! Today's pathetic comedy can't even raise a giggle.

  • the good ol' days !!! thanks for uploading this

  • there were so many of these. god this was a funny show

  • ROFLOL how did she keep a straight face when he was doing that?

  • 2:00 lol XD

  • I do this stuff to my wife and it pisses her off so badly.

  • you missed the one where Archie cuts his wrists with a knife...

  • Thanks so much for posting, so well done. O'Connor and Stapleton were genius, no exaggeration. I

  • I seriously can't stop laughing... I love All in the Family, and Carrol O Connor and Jean were just an awesome team... I love Jean- She's the "ideal" grandma, reminding me of my own. Carrol actually reminds me of my grandpa too... Thanks for posting- The music really makes the moments come to life!

  • Would have been better without the music

  • All in the family is the shit!

  • 1:57. The look on his face. Hilarious!!

  • I'm crying from laughing so hard... Sunday nights on CBS! Football and then Archie Bunker. Luv it!

  • I just wet my pants!

  • @Burnsengine that was some funny shit! The hanging and the Russian Roulette alone, just did me in. LOL

  • YEAH! THAT WAS CLASSIC!

  • I love how Edith just keeps on yapping :D

  • Where is the one where he slits his wrists?

  • my all time favourite sit com!!!!

  • you forgot the one where he slides his wrist's.

  • The face he makes when he hangs himself in the first suicide is priceless.LMAO

  • My favorite one is the "Pills & Booze" overdose one. I just caught that one on TVLand today while I was having lunch. Archie Bunker has taught me well how to respond non verbally to people who either get on my nerves or just piss me off.. LMAO!!! I laughed so hard at the end of this episode. Edith Versus the Bank.

  • I loved the Russian Roulette one.

  • I used to do the "shooting myself in the head" one when my mom would get all Gladys Kravitz on me.

  • i loved this show! And I miss it!! Sad that Caroll O'Connor passed on...some of my favorite episodes are of when Maude comes over, and when he and Sherman Hempley (sp teehee) got together! LMAO and...oh hell have lotsa favorites

  • yep those were classic.cant get enough of all in the family!

  • England is a fag country.

  • Liked it VERY much. How I miss old Archie and that whole family. Nicely put together.

  • Thank you for making me and my friend Laugh our asses off lololololololo

    thank you bn

  • These were just classic, but there's one missing...the one where he splits a hair with a razor and proceeds to slit his wrists. Very funny as well.

  • Yeah would like to see that one again

  • @tonyrocco55 what episode is that

  • These were priceless! I still do them sometimes when my mother (dingbat) cuts me off when I'm talking.

  • awesome thanks for putting this on and nice touch with huey lewis and the NOSE at the end

  • the Russian roulette bit is classic, and my g'friend has the Turkish march ringtone. A+.

  • OMG! I actually came on here looking for these!! You should do one with the sound instead of music.

  • yes !!!!!!!!!!!!! my fav.....

  • oh man that's gold..wish I could still get season 2 in town :(

  • ROFL

  • hahah thanks.

  • I actually did the one with the hand gun one time

  • Delicious!

  • hahaha i remember all of these episodes.

  • Oh, these are priceless! I remember seeing the Russian roullette one when I was little and thinking it funny then. Still makes me bawl outloud with laughter now, especially the facial expressions Carroll O'Connor makes when doing them. Fucking brilliant! Thanks!

  • These were great! I love Archie.

I love the looks on his face during the hanging and gun to the head scenes LOL

I do this when talking on the phone with my sis or mom. My god they can talk about nothing for a loooong time. :)

  • does anyone know when season 7 is gonna be released?

  • hopefully soon

  • I do the same thing when my wife is jawing away.

    I love it!

    Priceless!

  • I do that when my older sister goes on and on and on about Twilight. She knows I don't care about the book or the movie yet she balbers on about it to me like I do care, SHIT!!!! How many ways can I kill myself.

  • he is KING of comedy

  • Man, the old tv shows were the best!

  • THERE WAS ONE WHEN HE MOTIONED unwrapping a razor blade then cutting his wrist. Wish it was on here, it was funny!

  • Yes! I remember that one... it was great.

  • LOL, I always loved those!! XD I think the one "suicide" Archie forgot was doing a hara-kiri.

  • This is great! :) Thanks for posting!

  • The Russian roulette scene was priceless!

Especially when Archie takes time to open the cylinder of the "revolver", take a "bullet" out of his pocket and load the "gun", point at his head - not just once, but three times!

  • @OldsVistaCruiser i couldnt keep my self from laughing so hard! the hanging was pretty funny too.

  • OMG...LMAO...Thanx for posting this.

  • LMFAO

  • The best part of these scenes was that Edith would just go on and on, so involved in her story that she never even noticed that Archie was "hanging" himself. LOL

  • Oh man, Carrol O'Connor was the best with those facial expressions of his and even without the soundtrack I could still hear him saying, "Maaauuuuude!" in my head plain as day.

    Thanks!

  • He always said her name, "Maauuuude" like he passing a kidney stone. LOL

  • Seen these scenes thousands of times and still laugh my ass off!!

  • Edith soitenly is a digbat.

  • Oh my gosh, this is the best, thanks so much! My siblings and I still do these Archie impressions from time to time to crack each other up. Classic stuff!

  • My family and I do that too.

  • i like his antics

  • so funny. you are awesome, dingbatprissy, all in the family is my all-time favorite sit-com

  • Incredible montage. We asked - we received! Thanks for posting.

  • i am married to a ding-bat also archie....you are not alone!!! lol, i have done similar things numerous times...but it never works!!!!lol,,,great vid!

  • I always wanted to see this! After I was told about it and just when I was gonna check it out, the bastard known as youtube removed it!

Thank you so much for uploading this! It really cracked me up! XDDD

  • they forgot the most famous suicide by archie, the one where he sharpens a razor then slits his wrists.lollol

  • I think I'd want to commit suicide if I was married to Edith. He's right, she really is a dingbat. I can't imagine having to hear that screaching voice of her's after a hard day's work.

  • then you havent heard my wifes voice...26 effin YEARS with that dingbat!!!

  • great great comp :)

    ty

  • Great job!! Only you left out one more scene where he slits his wrists with the barber shop razor. :-)

  • What a ground breaking TV show. It really had balls!

  • You should have shown these clips with the

audience insted of the piano track and you

also forgot one too.The one where Archie cuts

    bolth his wrist.

  • wow great job, All in the Family was the best sit com in history...case closed...thats the truth.....Barney Miller holds a special place in my heart.....but archie was the best................

  • Carroll O'Connor was the best! Are the titles the actual episode titles? I've been looking for the scene from "Mike and Gloria Meet". Was this from Season 1? Thanks - great memories!!

  • Hi there, glad you enjoyed the video, he truely was the best. Yes these titles are the actual titles of the episodes. The episode "Mike and Gloria meet" is actually from season 8. Although i'm sure i can see your confusion, the picture on the DVD box for the first season right? Hope this helps!

  • Yes - that's exactly why I needed to ask! I was losing my mind thinking I was missing it somewhere. I can't wait for Season 8 to be released!

  • I can't wait for season 7 to be released.

  • are you sure mike & gloria meet is from the 8'th season 'cus i don't think so!!!!!!!!!

they had already left the show!!! MAYBE IT WAS THE 8'th episode of the 1'st season?

i know you were not around back then, so correct me if i'm wrong! born 1965

  • I'm sure, you see Mike and Gloria did leave in season 8 but during the last episode, the three final episodes of that season were based on them leaving to California, (some of my fave episodes) and then seaon nine starts off with them gone and Steaphine coming to live with the Bunkers.

  • Yes, Meathead and Gloria left at the end of the 1977-78 season; the show lasted one more season (1978-79) as AITF (where Archie and Edith take in little Stephanie), and then morphed into "Archie Bunker's Place" for the 1979-80 season.

  • @mthivier I'm glad Shout Factory is finally going to be releasing the last seasons of All In The Family on DVD starting with Season Seven,

Now if only they would put out a boxed Blu-Ray set of the entire series with a few extras.

  • @motorcitymadman25 The episode was a flashback type episode in which it depicts the time at which gloria and mike met

  • You are wrong. It is in "Cousin Maudes Visit" where Archie does that.

  • Thanks for the memories, I laughed all the way through......
