Wow, thanks Kolflat! Hard to believe this was 20 years ago... Funny reading people's comments... Hey, be nice! I was a teenager when we did this! RIP, Miss Etta James. Thanks for the music.
Too many long drawn out vocal acrobatics. The voice is nice but she took away from the song by all that, it didn't sound natural, she tried too hard. Just flow with the song.
@newguitarchick I agree. I think she did great with the drawn out vocals but she it did it just a little too long and too early. I'm no Mozart but I thought dramatics like that are best as a climax....not as an introduction. There's a structure to it.
Uh, so you're implying if someone is playing rhythm they must not be able to play well? That only the lead guitarist has the ability to actually play? If what I'm reading in your comment is correct, that's typical of many who view guitar playing as some sort of athletic competition. (Yes, Alan Haynes is a bad ass.)
I LOVE YOU CAROLYN! She plays regularly eavery last Tuesday of the month at The Last Concert Cafe in Houston although she's on tour now so we will miss her! She is known for showing up for shits and giggles on a moment's notice and she's sweet as pie! :)~
Carolyn Wonderland rocks the house!!! I saw the play with Moses Guest in Houston at Last Concert on a New Years concert. They put on an AMAZING show! When some of Moses Guest got up on the stage with her it was incredible!
