For those wondering... He doesn't hug the first lion that approaches him because he's hasn't met him well yet. The 1st lion that he hugs is the pride lion, when the younger lion sees this, he know not to mess with him because the main lion approves of him. First of all he didn't take them or their parents out of the wild. Second, captive life like this is in many ways better than wild life. They have huge enclosures which are rotated regularly, never go hungry, constantly groomed, minimul fighting with no pride takeovers, wounds treated, lifespan lengthened etc. not promoting it just saying...

@Frenchkisssss No... He doesn't even always have that sypray bottle... He only carries it on days that it's hot. It's contents are water and citronella... In otherwords, similar to catnip in spray form. Just look at more of his videos, he doesn't have it often. The reason he is, as you put it, "attractive" to them is because his' spent a lot of time with him since they were little. Not to mention the respect and love he receives is not one sided.

You'd be surprised at how many creatures in the wild will take a human as a parent/family member or group leader if they growu up around him/her from childhood. Like humans, what you grow up around is what you accept as normal, and these lions clearly see him as one of their own and have accepted him.
