  • So what does lowering the amount of Ohms do exactly? it changes the tone of the bass doesnt it? I LOVE bass and messing around with a system, but I have no clue what ohms do in higher or lower numbers. Also, what do you think about 2 15in type Rs powered by an MRP M-1000 would be? that's what I'm thinking about getting.

  • @SBrandon562 Lowering you ohms gives you more power from your amp. If you look at amps it will say something like 400 @ 2 ohms 800 @ 1 ohm. Just an example

  • i have three 12 rockford fosgate punch speakers hooked with an amp that pushes them its a jbl but idk how many watts it is could anyone tell me becaus it pushes all of the subs perfect

  • Where did u get the SPL reader at???!!

  • @HAYSTAK44 Ebay but its almost 10 dbs off from a Term Lab

  • ive got one 4 ohm sub and then two tweeters running into that sub, could i add another 4 ohm sub straight into that sub.

  • ayite. so ima have 2 DVC 4 ohm Alpine type R's, and my amp is a RF 2000 watt max mono block. how would i wire it so that im getting a 2 ohm load? the amp runs 320 RMS at 4 ohms and 500 RMS at 2 ohms. so id also be bridging to get the subs enough power

  • @hellobobert12345 Check out rockford wiring wizard.

  • @casperskafs thank you.

  • @hellobobert12345 You can't bro. You can have 1 ohm or 4. Wire them in series then bridge it. Check out rockford wiring wizard

  • I have 2 subs 300 Watt rms. do I buy a 600 Watt rms amp? yes right ?

  • @J0S3Ph0Ch0A1977D2B 600 or bigger but I'd go like 1000 watts so you don't have to crank your amp all the way up

  • RFL600d 600 rms @ 2--- 400rms @ 4 monoblock amp and i had my 2 pioneer champions 400rms hooked up to my amp at 2 ohm.the same way u show at the beginning. just stuffed in there....burnt 1 out and and other is a low reading 2.9 ohms disconnected wen it was 4 ohm before. im buying mtx jackhammers12s to replace. what do think went wrong? note the gain was full :( i noticed it get quieter over time. it was also in bandpass box any advice when im reinstalling should i get a ported box

  • @jasonmangal Sorry to hear bro. If you had your gain cranked then cranked your volume knob on your headunit you prolly clipped the shit outta them. You need a bigger amp if you want it to be louder. I try and NEVER crank the gain knob and I listen for distortion very closely when I turn up the volume. You box shouldn't be a problem but crankin gains and volume knobs is never good. Goto rockford wiring wizard just to make sure you have them hooked up right.

  • how do i wire two 8 ohm woofers to 4 ohms to a 2 channel amp?

  • @tweed187187 You could prolly just wire the subs together then bridge the amp

  • Would the lepai tripath ta2020 handle woofers and tweeters. And what would the sound be like?

  • @00through09 I don't know bro. I'm guessing your using it for home audio cause I'm pretty sure thats what its made for. I don't think it would run a subwoofer. Maybe a couple tweeters or mids

  • hey nice vid.. i have 2 12' jl audio w08 with a sony xplod 2200gtx and i'm trying to bridge them so tell me if i did this right. i connected + to + then - to -, then I took the positive from the right speaker to the amp and the negative from the left speaker to amp. is that good what should i expect and how many ohms should that bring my subs to?

  • @da1ufear Check out rockford wiring wizard to give ya a better idea if you did it right.

  • i have a 350 watt amp hooked to 2 kenwoods its a stereo 2 channel amp i believe. i had fry's hook it up and i am wanting to switch it myself to a mono block kenwood 1000 watt amp. can i use the same wiring and just plug in all the wires to the new one? would that be simple or are there would i be better off just paying someone to do it for me?

  • @montayay1 Its really that simple as long as your going from a 2 channel to a mono block. Just switch the wires. Only one thing!!! Make sure they take the same size power and ground wires. I'm guessing your 2 channel has 8 gauge so make sure your mono block takes 8 gauge or you might need to upgrade wires to bigger

  • @casperskafs its the 8015D kenwood 1000 watt D class monoblock amp

  • @thajoka151 I'd sell one and get one to match the other

  • @casperskafs can you have 3 12's running to one battery and still have it work good?

  • @thajoka151 Yeah just don't listen to you're music with the car off... I had two 15's all to one battery & nothing happen. No lights diming at night when the bass hits. It's all good...

  • what happens if you got a sub at 4ohms and a sub for 2 ohms? can i just bridge them together?

  • @thajoka151 I don't like mixing ohms on subs. Its better if you can have both subs @ the same ohms. I've never hooked different ohm subs together but I have mixed sub ohms on and amp and it sounds like crap cause your lower ohm sub sucks all the power

  • @g1andrhone Bridge it with 2 channls meaning take your + from your sub and put on + on channel 1 then take your - on your sub and put on - in channel 2. That will still prolly be 4 ohms but since your using a 4 channel amp and bridging it will be like 2 ohms

  • This vid is a favorite on Portugal

  • Yeah i watched it, I bought 2 Kicker 12in' Subs, each one is 8 ohms, 300watts, what kind of amp should i buy to power them? I would like your opinion.. it would be so helpful. Thank you.

  • @DMA1392 Buy a kicker amp to match um. Make sure its a mono block.

  • can you do this with 3 subs?

  • @thepantydropper94 Not this exactly

  • Too casperskaf.. i have a questions.. whats better 4ohm sub or an 8ohm sub? Please get back at me...

  • @DMA1392 Depends what amp you have. Watch my vid on Matching subs and amps using Ohms

  • Your vid is a favorite on Haiti

  • @bennynewton38 Not sure what that is but awesome....I think

  • HELP PLEASE :) Hey dude love you're vids, but I need help with my American bass. I have a 12'' American bass xfl dull 2 ohm. Just bought. I need an amp but I wanna stick to American bass amps. I plan on buying another xfl 12'' dull 2. What American bass amp can I buy for now to power the one but yet will be enough power to power 2 when I get it. I was looking at the vfl 175.1 or 200.1 what would say. Thank u so much :)

  • @drumhead14 Deff the 200.1 but if you have the money get the 500.1 and turn down the gain til you get your second sub. Those amps are no joke.

  • im guessing these are SVC? is there a possable way for 2x 4ohm DVC?

  • @PJRehlaender If you hook them together in parallel like I did these SVC subs then it would be down to 1 ohm

  • Is possible to make a 4 ohm single voice coil subwoofer into a 2ohm subwoofer with just one subwoofer? Like conecting in a diferent way? thank you very much

  • @ZeroXSub Nope. 1 voice coil = 1 opinion Sorry bro. You need another sub with the same voice coil setting to wire different

  • @hondastreetclow2011 Hook them up like I did in the video

  • Maybe you can help me on this :)

I have at the moment a monoblock kenwood amp and two different subwoofers (not fitted yet). One kenwood 12 (1200w/400rms) and another kenwood 12(800w/250rms). I dont know if sounds good fit them like you show on your vid because they are different models, maybe they sound different if they are fitted together on the same amp right? Do you think that they will sound good? Thank you very much

  • @ZeroXSub As long as they are the same voice coil configurations than yes. Meaning if they are both single voice coil 4 ohm subs then yes they will be fine together

  • This will work in single voice coil subs?

  • @ZeroXSub These are single voice coil subs. They just have 2 hookups for easier wiring like what I did in the vid. Sorry this was a long time ago and I should have specified

  • DOES THIS GIVE U MORE POWER

  • @yehandrewsak Yep. The lower the ohms the more power

  • can i run my 4 ohm sub up to a 2 ohm amp?

  • @hondaaccourd5 Sure can. You can actually run 2 of your 4 ohms subs and still be safe. @ 4 ohms you will only get half the amps power but will run clean

  • hey i have an amp and i have a subwoffer and i have it bridged how can i put onother sub by the way thesub is 4ohm

  • @toronjillo2 If its a 2 channel amp and you have it bridged and you add another 4 ohm sub to it I think you'll be ok as long as your amp is set to stereo and not mono. Thats how most 2 channels are that i've seen. Check how low of ohms your amp can take though so you don't burn it up

  • @casperskafs well mine its a 400 watt am its a cheap amp tho but it does the job and the it lowest its 4ohm but like if i add other sub that is 4omh and i do it in series that would be 8ohm would it sound louder then just 1 sub wiht 4 ohms i mean 2 subs making 8ohms vs 1 sub making 4ohms which one is louder? like i said its a cheap amp its a dual 400wtt amp

  • @toronjillo2 Well bro the down side is you would get less watts but the up side is you would have more cone area. Thats just one of those things ya gotta try and see how it turns out

  • @casperskafs alright thanks i think am going to buy other amp

  • Thinking about setting up some subs in my accord... I want to get 4 subs, 2 boxes of 2 10" visoniks. If i buy one with the complete kit (wiring, amp) and one with just the box and wiring, could I hook up both boxes to the one amp? Never done this before, just done speakers. Thanks man

  • @dabears232323 Sure can bro. Check out rockford wiring wizard to give ya a better idea

  • how do you tune a sony 800 watt amp for 2 12in kickers comps??? do anybody know......hit me back if u can help!

  • whats the song @ 5:16?

  • @FuntossisBACK Gorilla Zoe - Money man

  • How do you hook up a 4 ohm 6x9 to a 2 ohm deck

  • @realkaliboi Just + to + and - to -

  • can you parallel wire 3 subs to one amp? as in can you hook the wires leading from the amp to a sub and branch off from the connection at the first sub to the other 2? will that work?

  • @trickedyfz450 Yep as long as your ohms stay stable with your amp

  • @casperskafs you can't run 4ohms subs to 2ohms. it can onoly be 1ohm r 4 ohms r 16ohms right now the way u have them hooked up it's only 1ohm. i have my to kicker CVX 15s hooked up to 1ohms

  • @xGODLYxSKiLLeDx666x Please don't leave comments if you don't know what your talking about. It confuses people.

  • @casperskafs ok and will all the subs stay at 2 ohms or will it split it again down to 1 ohm?

  • @trickedyfz450 It keeps splitting

  • @casperskafs so if i run two sets of wires out of the sub that is connected to the amp, and the subs are 4 ohm, will the amp be running at 1 ohm? or still 2 ohms?

  • I havem hooked up its loud but it does cut off when I turn it up my headunit goes to 80 and 63 cuts it off

  • Hey I have an audiobahn 4 ohm and a audiopipe 2 ohm can I hook them to the same amp

  • @youdontsaythatovahea Hmm not sure on that one bro. You can try but I never mix ohms

  • I noticed u didn't point out if ur subs are DVC or SVC. In the case that u have 4 ohm subs with dual voice coils u could only run @ 1 or 4 ohms with two subs. If u you have two 2 ohm dual voice coil subs you can achieve a 2 ohm load. For example kicker zx1000.1 is a mono d amp 1000rms @ 2 ohms you can connect two 2 ohm dvc subs to it making for 500w per sub. A true 1000 Watt system.

  • @jessehughes88 I know i was in a hurry when I put this vid up. Sorry for that. Didn't mean to mislead anyone

  • what is the best ohms for subs and amps

  • @badass200081 I have a vid about that. Matching subs and amps using ohms

  • good vid brotha @ EGDDS100 an L7 will solve your problem rated at 750rms

  • @daito101 Thanks bro

  • weak, a cousin of mine makes more noise with only a pioneer TS-W3001D4 playing at 2 ohms 500 rms and a custom box that he did

  • hey man i got a problem with my sub when there isnt any music playin or if i dont have it turned up what makes hit thump

  • @donboyd1000 I'm guessin a bad ground bro

  • @donboyd1000 yea, i just had the same exact problem, DROVE ME EFFN NUTS! and it was a bad ground, just sand off a new spot and u should b in business bro.

  • ? MY WHEN I HIT MY ALARM MY SYSTEMS BASSES ONLY WHEN I HIT TO UNLOCK AND LOCK PLEASE HELP. THANK U

IF U WANT ILL MAKE A VIDEO TO SHOW U

  • @MrBASSHEAD305 Hmm you could be grounded near or on a wire that hooks to your alarm

  • Thanks..Mjc

  • just to tell you. you are the most respectable guy i know right now. i like that you said you are not a professional and i respect that; when you say that it makes me feel like you are good at it anyway. i always tell people that im not a professional at everything as well and that i am not always right. you remind me of me. much respect bro

  • @1foxriding1 Thanks bro. Comments like that keeps me making videos. :)

  • @LILGOLI Yea if you wanna run in series

  • how can i connect two dual 4ohm @ 2 ohm with a hifonics two chanel amp

  • @9grande Wire each sub in parallel to each channel. Make sure your amp can take it though. + to+ and - to -

  • I have a Pioneer AVH-3300dvdbt, this perticular unit says it can have sub woofer hooked up 70w @2 ohm without an amp . I don't have an amp as of now, so I'd like to do this for now. How do I hook up the sub thru the rear speakers?(that's what Pioneer says to do, but that's all it tells you thru THIER tiny manual), so I have all the speakers hooked up, everything works great !, but now want to add the sub. Do I disconnect the rears and hook up the sub first and then to the rears? Or rear speaker

  • @MJClemm Honestly bro I can't help ya. I've never heard of doing that. I have a pioneer AVH P5900dvd and I didn't see anything about it saying you could do that. I've always used amps

  • @MJClemm just direct lead it from the speakers terminals to the sub but it will get low power and the sub will just distort and stuff but thats how ive done it before

  • amateur bass head but still a bass head...maybe you should invest in some real equipment bruh...

  • @jasonlikesdeathmetal Like my Soundstream XXX 6500 amp LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • @casperskafs like your 2'' penis! LMAO you're entry level son...and must be poor shits ghetto dude

  • Bass heads:)

  • hay man just a tip you might confews people with the most subs have 2 places to hook wires to some people might confews this with dvc subwoofer intakes and think that ones a out but i do under stand its a bit late nice video tho

  • @MrHow2fix Lol yea i've confused a few people. I didn't think about it til it was all done.

  • wat would yu do to make words sound louder too so its not all base

  • @robert123516 Get a 4 channel amp and some new mids for your doors, rear deck or where ever they are.

  • ha lol I used to run 4 of kenwood 12's at 2 ohm on a pioneer amp and some crossover can't remember name lol and 4 pioneer 6x9's in a 84 buick riviera that shit was loud!

  • can you tell me if my Acoustic 4050 USA series 2 amp is 4 ohm or 2 ohm?

  • @jnicholes510

    USA4050

    50W x 2 @ 4 ohms

    80W x 4 @ 2 ohms

    160W x 2 @ 4 ohms

  • what about with 3 Subwoofers is the same way or what, because I just have it just like you but with 3 subwoofers they are 12'

  • @mrdodgeram1999 That works fine but since you have 3 subs hooked up like this it brings you down to 1.34 ohms

  • What type of set up should I run with a 4 ohm sub with dual voice coils?

    I've got a Kenwood KFC-W3012 DVC Sub 12"s and a 2 channel amp 1000 watts peak.

  • @Torr3s05 First check out ROCKFORD WIRING WIZARD. That might help ya out

  • i have 400 dollars to buy a sub and amp should i get like a 200 dollar sub and a 200 dollar amp or a few 78 dollar subs idk if i should pick cone area or a better sub.. cuz im hearing its all about the box u put it in

  • @chrisdmoney VERY TRUE. Box is key!!! Thats all up to you on what to buy bro. Just member if you buy cheap stuff you get cheap results.

  • do u get more power when u hook em up lik this??

  • @3rdMrimagohard Yep you get the most power like this as long as your subs are 4 ohm single voice coil

  • Can I do this with the kicker cvr 12s

  • @Boobie16 Yes as long as their single voice coil 4 ohm subs

  • wuts the best condom to use?

  • @rsftwftr Trojan of course. Magnum if your a stud

  • hey im going to be getting my first sounds system this coming wedsday and what would be a good amp for one 400 watt kicker sub and 4 smaller speakers ... and by amp i mean like what size mabye an 1800 ? i think the smaller speakers are around 80 wats

  • @seen6soccer Thats all up to your bro

  • Hey, i have 2 Dual 4 ohm 15"s What kind of Amplifier would i need? I'm not to sure on what to do on these.

  • @DJSOUTHSIDEBEATS Get a monoblock amp that is stable @ 1 ohm. Then hook them up in parallel

  • @casperskafs Alright thanks man.

  • do you know where the best place is too ground an amplifier in a cavalier if any one knos iif you can let me kno it would help

  • @donboyd1000 Strut tower if you can find it

  • its not a bad ground cause ive had other subs hooked up too it and they didnt make the buzzin sound

  • @donboyd1000 If other subs don't do the buzzing then something is wrong with your subwoofer

  • hey man i have a 10in audiopipe and i cant figure out to hook it up and when i do get it hooked up there is a buzzin sound in the sub can you tell me what it is............ thanks

  • @donboyd1000 Sounds like a bad ground

  • that was the most stock looking kenwood head unit ever LOL nice vid and subs

  • @arthuriscool1994 :) thanks bro

  • Can i do this for a 2 channel amp? can i just have my second subs wires, going into the terminals of my first sub, and then another set of wires going from the terminals of my first sub to the bridged channel of the amplifier?

  • @sniffsumglu Yea I think that will work. You might just wanna hook each sub up to each channel and put the amp on mono

  • @casperskafs Thanks for your reply. Yeah having each sub into each channel works obviously but i wanted to try 2 ohm because you get alot more power out of it.

  • @sniffsumglu That might read 2 ohms in the amp if you set it to mono instead of stereo

  • Casperskafs! Bro first of all your fucking awesome. Pardon the slang. I want your honest opinion, i just now got into systems and shit like that, i have 2 MB Quart Square 12's 400RMS 800PEAK, is that good? can i rattle some shit with that? i have a 5 channel 1600W Cadence amp, not sure of the rms power the amp has but how should i hook it up? i have it hooked up now just standard, should i bridge them together than bridge two channels? i may sound inexperienced, i am. Thanks bro!

  • @ITz0kProductions LOL thank you very much bro. I think you can do some damage with those subs. You won't be blowin out any windows or anything crazy like that but you can make um bump in the right enclosure. My problem is I've never owned or played with any 5 channel amps so I couldn't tell you the best way to hook um up. Google ROCKFORD WIRING WIZARD. That might give ya a few ideas but also might confuse you a little since it shows them going into 1 channel

  • i have Two dual 4ohm 400w 12inc subs connected to a 1000w 2 channel amp.... it worked fine for 2 months then all of a sudden when i turn it up past 20 the subs go out... you know what that could be?

  • @genobee20 Tryin to push to much power. A lot of people do this with small amps. I hear it all the time. You need a bigger better amp bro. Not sayin the one you have is crap just sayin you need one more powerful.

  • Ok I have a question. I have 2 kicker L7's hooked up to a kickerzx 1500.1. If I go to loud the,

  • is the QUANTUM 3500d MONO AMP (1750 rms) 1 OHM STABLE?

  • @MikeNJess3409 Not sure bro. Never had one. Just gotta do some research on google

  • what songs were u listening to bro ?

  • @brianmccarty1990 Can't member. Might wanna scroll through the comments

  • @casperskafs what is better 2ohms r 4ohms? r there is no different in which will last longer? r they will last the same?

  • @xGODLYxSKiLLeDx666x Depends how powerful your amp is and if your sub or subs can take it. The lower the ohms the more power you send from your amp to your subs

  • @casperskafs i have a zx2500 kicker amp.

  • @casperskafs i have 2 15inch CVXs they r both 2ohms they hit like hell tho but what is the difference in 2 ohms and 4ohms is either one better then the other?

  • omfg he shaved.

  • @PJRehlaender LOL Nope this is pre beard. Look at the date

  • @casperskafs oh, right. yeah, i thought it would be pretty old, but still, a rare site.

  • Thank you!

  • Also, if my sub is approx. 2 inches away from my seat and my amp is 1 inch from my carpet should i be worried?

  • @ScreamMode1337 You should be fine just might not hit as hard with the sub that close cause it can't hardly breath that close to the seat

  • Hello, I have a pair of 12 inch subs, my amp is stuck in my truck so id rather not move it to find the wattage, I bought instead, the most powerful cables (1200w cables) thinking that it would work, would they work still with over strengthened cables? and I have some cords without the ends on them, how to i hook the endings up? and how do i connect the two point forks? or do the screws hold them in... (yea they probably do >.<)

  • @ScreamMode1337 The more powerful the cables the better. Only problem is getting the bigger wire to fit in your amp. You really only needs ends on the cables to connect one end of the power and ground to the battery. And yes the screws will hold down the wires

  • Random question. I have midwoofers and tweeters to a crossover do I need an amp and if not how do I hook up to head unit?

  • @BlueAllJ You need an amp bro

  • Your eyes are very very dilated...

  • The internet and all that!

  • right on man, juss thought i asked...i tried mine inside out and didn't notice anything different lol...so i put'em back the other way :p

  • what does ohms mean?

  • @whydieyoung To hard to explain. I might have a video that can help. Look through um. I think it called matching subs and amps using ohms
