Apologies Lisa for commenting on your video clip but it is an important issue as Ashley seems quite misguided here.I do believe the US TEA have good ideals and operations but sadly here they are slightly awry.:))

Interesting, Goodridge admits he was expelled by the conservative party in Australia at the 4 minute mark. I don't feel he has an understanding of conservative values, which I feel makes him a shaky leader of the Australian TEA party.

@ddball1 I don't pretend the I've looked closely at any legislation Goodridge has suggested so I can't say yea or nay. I can say that at least in America that not all establisahment "conservatives" are always right. A good example is when Hertigae Foundation was first for the healthcare mandate and State Healthcare exchanges before they were against them after the rise of the Tea Party. They changed tehir mind because we helped them return to sanity.

@1isaM111er There is a danger social interest groups be captured by smaller extremist groups. The US TEA party has so far navigated well. Conservatism is a big tent, and unlike socilaism there are opposing views on issues. It is telling for me that Goodridge is also an ADL leader (Australian Defence League) and you should compare them with their sister organisation the EDL, English defence league. Google it.

@ddball1 Conservatives generally want limited constitutional government (sharia is not compatible with our COnstitution) and to maintain its culture even as immigrants are assimilated with equal protection under the law. One language makes success a whole lot easier and less expensive.

It is often a dog whistle used by some to isolate political opponents. And my first statement stands, it is interesting that David is not part of a legitimate conservative lobby group known in Australia as the Liberals, or in Queensland as the LNP

@ddball1 Again, being outside the "mainstream" in terms of nailing orthodoxy isn't a deterent to me. There are simply to many conflicts of interest for that to impress me.

As a conservative classical liberal, I find all as individuals even within different cultures. I live in the most diverse community in the world. Annandale Virginia has the most homowners from the most countries in the world. I love it. AND we all need to be able to talk to each other and do business w/ each other.
