@3:10 he states the applications in the panels are "reduced functionality mode". He then says it is "not running". So - is this just a pretty app launcher? There is no demo of a panel app actually showing any functionality here.

All the apps, later are described as being made by' partners', so does that mean there will be no functionality if their API isn't supported.

I understand it is a "demo" at a trade show, but I would want to know these things before I bought in.

Also - 'mon the pixelqi!

There are two panel modes on the Eden. One is a "light mode", when you can operate on a three panels, but not on each other at the same time-at any time, you could managed one program(one of the three panels is activated in this time).

@michaelbuddy The thing with mobile devices like this is that the use-case greatly affects battery life. For instance, HD video playback versus reading an ebook in Pixel Qi mode. There have been a few different anchor marks that have been stated over the past few months. The first number was 15-20 hours on a single charge for moderate use but that can drop down to 6 hours of Full HD with full brightness. For reference, full backlight is about 1.2 watts but PQ only uses around .2 watts
