I never said 'I' disliked JSS, if anything, I want to be like him, haha! But every time I read a review of one of his shows, people complain about his 80's style stage antics. absolutely! Arnel is way out of his league. I`m a huge fan of both Journey and Soto and I still think they were great together. Jeff`s voice is just outstanding and so much universal...it could easily fit in everywhere...from a whisper to a scream, from funk and soul to heavy metal. also a great performer and entertainer.

Saw Jeff do this last night in Sheffield, fookin awesome as usual, was excellent with Journey too, saw them in Manchester.

Journey had the chance to move direction with Jeff, and boy just think what they could have done with all that talent, but hey if Schon and Cain want to just play old hits, thats their LOSS.

Beakys, although i like the new singer Arnel, he does sound like a clone though. Your comment about him not lasting long is interesting because i've already posted a few comments on there about him sounding rough and yelling through the passages. I would say if he doesnt last long it will be to Journey running him 245 dates a year and watching him puke out due to voice problems. Arnels Technique needs ALOT of work. It will catch him sooner than later. I'm afraid we will watch... and see!

What would you have Journey to do? Steve Perry is the legendary voice of Journey, but he does not want to come back. Augeri ruined his voice by trying to sound like Perry night after night. Soto sings it his way. It may not suit everybody, but it must have suited enough folks to turn out for their last tour.
