I've spent hours trying to share Chris' music with those that have never experienced it and this usually ended by throwing my hands up in frustration. Like trying to explain why something is beautiful... pointless if the listener can't see it. Chris was just one of those artists that needed to be found instead of introduced. I'm just glad I found him in 91.

@FatSlappyHappyPappy I got into his stuff in '91 and agree he will sorely be missed. Like many visionaries, you either got his point or you didn't. Too bad not many did. A real genuine talent.

he came to Australia yrs ago but got few audiences, no on eknew him and he wasn't pulicised. Ho wbad do you think me , my sis and our friends felt later when she picked a $5 c.d from a sales bin, and it was "Living With The Law"..oh, if only sometimes one could change time, god rest your soul Mr Whitley, you are so precious, I just got to know you too late :(

Poison Girl made the radio when it came out & rightfully so. Livin' with the law never did (at least I never heard it) but is equally fantastic as well. Only an esoteric few know Chris's songs.
