Sure, tracks and cars cost money, but the game comes with several cars (Pontiac Solstice, Legends, Street Stocks, and Mazda MX-5's to name a few) and quite a few tracks (Lime Rock, Charlotte, Okayama, and Laguna Seca to name a few more).

I've played iRacing for ~5 months now and I haven't spent a dime on cars or tracks.

It's worth it, trust me.

@DjFreshmatic Thats why i race with friends or other people that i find that are clean racers. :) It makes racing easier that way so you can make a private match. Not to mention we have full damage on so noone would want to crash anyone.

Demolition derby's are fun but it's a shame most people's idea of racing is speed on full assault. Get that manual transmission turned on, turn off the ABS, TCS and stability control (no, not for drifting like a girl), find that perfect entry to the corners while balancing the throttle to avoid power sliding on the exit for that perfect turn because losing traction results in losing those crucial seconds (and shredded tyres)...
