this is the best chicken soup recipe ever. i have made this so many times and everybody loves it. i showed my friends this link to make it and even they cant stop praising you. lol. thanks so much nicko
thanks for sharing its a bit different what i make with chinese salt,no leeks, shredded chicken, serve with soya sauce ,its more chinese look ,ur one looks english version more, but it would be nice, i loved ur cinnamon cake too, from the uk
i want to say also i'm in love with you, but i can't, because i'm a guy! :-) but let me just thank you for unselfishly sharing your expertise in cooking! good health and long life to you!
Instead of chicken stock in a box I usually slow boil up a couple of thighs to get a good broth. To me it makes all the difference. Save the thighs for later to snack on.
your cooking recipes are greater than ours :D i stopped making the recipes from my country and started making yours.... shhht but please don't tell that to anyone, i might be asked to leave my country .... :D
Ok I followed the recipe. Worked out very delicious in the end. A couple of tips though - would help if you specified the size of the cans. Also did you use oil? What heat did you use for the leek? Yes I know these are probably dumb trivial questions but I've never cooked anything in my life and if I want to impress my wife, I can't be asking her these dumb questions. But overall, thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it, the can size is about 390g. We dont have oz. measurements. I used a little olive oil when i cook leeks, or onions. Always start of with a hot pan, then turn the heat down with the leeks :) hope that helps
@robjnixon that's because Aussies are metric. Time to bring USA and other lagging countries into the 21st century and get away from the ancient imperial measurements. decimal system is so easy.
Looks so tasty! I'd probably cut down on the cream corn, maybe use some plain yogurt in its place, just to cut back on the calories. But it looks hearty and delicious! :)
Looks amazing! I'm putting it on the menu for this week. Any tips for Mother's Day? I'm making the sponge cake for dessert. I might make the fish for the main course.
WHy CANT I HAVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU COOKING IN MY HOUSE!! TT.TT

saby1234567890asdfg 11 months ago
@saby1234567890asdfg Broth is liquid. stock can be solid.

Another recipe to add to my "must try list". Thanks so much Nicko.
I have never used leeks in cooking, do you ever use the top part of the leek in any other recipes, or do you always just use the white part?
fairannie9 2 years ago
i just use the white part for cooking, but i never throw away the top. You can use that in making some homemade vegetable stock :)
