Love that guitar licking there from midway to the end. Sounds like some background music from one of my favorite TV shows he was the narrator in....can you only guess what it was? LOL ...my username should be a hint.
dislike people can go back to sucking their mommy's tities.. Waylon is the greatest performer of all time.. If you don't like this why are you searching this and commenting?? Please respond..
17 dislikes think taylor swift and justin bieber are "real music". waylon opened the door so that you "r&b singers calling yourself country" can have just a little say so in what you record. some of the guys i work with make me sick because they say some of these "wannabes" are country singers. i say if it aint waylon, george, merle, willie, DAC, hank jr and sr, and a few others then country, real country, is few and far between. not bitching, just saying. Hoss is still my hero.
This was about how Waylon looked when I saw him in the mid 70's. You could see the coke on his nose. Nonetheless, just like in this video, he put on a great show and he can really pick that guitar. Sadly missed. Love Waylon forever. sj
I'd make comment on his condition but I've been there singing the same song. Not as good as he's doin' it, of course...but I was there. The weventies was a great time if you could stay out of jail. At cody white country.com hear some of how I felt about our music. Then coe back here with a new appreciation for ol' Waylon. He was the Monarch in my musical Kingdom.
@drunkinpainter666 amen brother ! I used to compare but finally decided to give up & just accept that today's "country" & waylon & willie's era are two completely different genres, I won't even discuss the two in the same sentence anymore. There's the real "outlaw country" of yesteryear which will never be rivaled and the country-pop of today which you can like if you want to cuz it's got nuthin to do with me, we have nothing in common.
@mickefrennessen if you download free realplayer and then upgrade to realplayer plus you can transfer any youtube video in to your library and either burn the video on to dvd or just the audio on to cd...better to use rewritable dvd discs for video

No one but no one ever had Waylons sound, he was an absolute original. Nowdays I struggle to differenciate between Country singers and their syrupy nasal sounds. RIP Waylon we miss you.
nowadays there is no working together through the rough patches, there is just no honey you must leave the man because he is no good, oh he aint bad but he is no good so dont try work things out forget the vows that were said and listen to us rather than him and the vows that were said
one of waylons best, to bad people did not hink like this anymore, rather a guy screws up a few times and it is bash him and kick him to the curb, damn but i wish people could live like these great artists wrote about, rather this moronic mental America calls a man like this to bad and leave him
I met Waylon, Jessi, Ritchie Albright included in 2001 I think it was in Suttons Bay, MI at his concert in Lelanau Sanda Casino. Pretty sure that was the year, but Ritchie was there for sure. I talked to Rance Wasson of Waylon's band the longest. He can sing but he sure ain't pretty:)
The guy on drums is Dan Roscoe I believe Waylon had just 2 drummers worthy of talking about the first was Richie Albright I think Richie letf in 80 or 81 but I don't know why
That is not Shooter on drums. The same drummer is in videos dated in the early 80's. I'd say this is about that time. Shooter was born in 1979, and was 22 when Waylon died. This video is well before Waylon died.
Old Cowboy, I wait that this where, it continues riding his mustan with the orizonte in front of his eyes, since will see an eagle when it flies, the freedom...The Country Man.
This GUY is something else....what a hell of a legend in his time....no man can compare to Waylon Jennings but George Jones runs a hell of a race with him but have to say George is the #1 man....
I was about 10 and thanks to this man and Johnny Cash I learned to play the guitar by listining to their records. The day Waylon died was a very sad day indeed for me. I have seen him in concert a few times years back and he was just something to hear and see. No one today can come close to him or Johnny Cash. May they both Rest In Peace.
I love all kinds of music from all over the world, but I don't think I've ever spent a whole day just listening to one man sing. I've done it twice, and both times it was Waylon.
This Man, is the most influetional, Country Music Artist, I have ever known. I remember well, the day he died, I sat in my local bar...played his music over and over, and wept.
This song is so sad, because you know the poor bastard has said this will be the last time many other time. And he will continue to suffer completly in love for ever. Saying this wil be this last time. Love sucks. I've been there

@stakfan i saw johnny, chris & willie live, super classics & original. didnt c waylon but he is a legend also. luv d "Highwaymen DVD" they ar all legends of country & western music, dat will never die. their memories will go on & on & on. for ever kate, ireland
@seamogger SO lucky... I'm a little on the young side so Johnny Cash was already passed by the time I got into the country music. Sure he would've been so much fun! He's my favorite singer of all time. Willie I did get to see, he was really good..
@m Waylon ur right ol hoss was hittin it hard in 83-84 and even with a 1500 dollar a day coke habbit he still kills it like nobody else ol hoss may be gone but his music will live 4ever RIP Waylon
@guitarbutt I totally agree with you. There are maybe a few of these artists today that I care much for (Joe Nichols, Brad Paisley, Lee Ann Womack, Josh Turner). I love Martina McBride, but they have turned her in to one of their pop machines too. Not like the good days when I was growing up on Merle, Waylon, Willie, Johnny. At least Willie, Merle, Kris, and good ol' George Jones are still keeping the flame alive. Oops, almost forgot another outlaw, David Allen Coe.
@bunkieb00 I'm sorry but you've got it wrong. Waylon was a cross over artist before it even existed. Remember Waylon's real start was with Buddy Holly a rock n Roller. Waylon was Nashville's rebel and destroyed the conventions of Nashville by doing things like the rock acts did. Waylon made his music and the rules be damned "This time"was his first # 1 hit and he had been told by the folks in Nashville the song was a dud. Waylon was great because he made his music not "country music"
@MacDonald1 I guess you're right, I know that Waylon was a contemporary of Buddy Holly and that he was a rock-n-roll deejay..what I was referring to was that his music doesn't seem to be Top-40'd to death like so many crossovers have been since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers sang "Islands in a Stream'...
Great stuff by a great artist!!! The very greatest of them all, I love the man and the music -and I will sing it as long as my voice let me! PS to blondebomber75 -Willie is born in 1933, so he's 77 now! Hoss ;-)
Does this song remind you of something familiar? I hope that General Motors is paying the royalties to the writer and Waylon's estate. That's the song used on the Chevy truck commercial. If they aren't, what a ripoff.
I totally agree with all the glowing comments on Waylon. He had it all. Fabulous singer, songwriter, and one hell of a guitar player. My brother and I covered alot of Wayons stuff back in the late 70's, early 80's. His songs are great and nobody does 'em like Wayon.
Ole Waylon is looking pretty rough here. In spite of that as Kristofferson said, "Waylon is the best country singer ever" What a wonderful voice, depth and feeling. He was also a suberb guitar picker, could hold his own with anyone. Waylon's autiobiography is a great read. I don't think he left out much, what a wild life he led until he kicked drugs and settled down with Jessi. Then we lost him way too soon. He's a legend and the best ever.
My little brother "waylon" is named after waylon jenniings! lol! then i have another brother his name is billy but my dad calls him "willie", and my dad said that their his boys! LOL! thats because it's waylon, willie and the boys!!!!!!!! Awesome job, i love waylon jannings singing!!!!!

This music is fantastic , there's nothing betta than trucking to a bit of waylon Jennings ,, KEEP ON TRUCKING.....

His songs are great and nobody does 'em like Wayon.

its hard for me to listen to his music without sprouting a tear....you will "ALWAYS BE AROUND", waylon. You are a true legend!!
