Folks, stop worrying about Segano1. I made a mild comment on a youtube video ("Racists at an anti Irish racism march") arguing for Scottish-Irish amity and this bigoted lunatic appeared on the scene ranting and raving about Ireland stealing Scottish culture (but not apparently bothered about other countries producing whiskey etc.). Super troll with severe mental issues.
@thecrusades2 Okay maybe kilts weren't traditionally Irish. The fact of the matter is however bagpipes were in Ireland before Scotland. And Scotland is called Scotland cuz it was named after the Scots who invaded it. The Scots were the Irish. And I am Scoth Irish and I play bagpipes at the grade 2 competition level. I know my shit. You're an ignorant arrogant fuck.
@IrishJewGangsta Correct on the word "Scot"... 12th C Lebor na Nuachongbála and 11th C Historia Brittonum referencing Lebor Gabala Erenn cite the Legendary beginnings of Irish history and the Irish race... Scota was the supposed daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh who depending on source was either the mother or wife of the progenitor of the Irish Race - Geytholos (Goídel Glas) from whom the word Gael (Goidheal) comes... thus "Scot" or "Gael" equally referenced the ancient Irish (incl. Dál Riada)
@IrishJewGangsta When Dál Riada moved to Argyle, Mull and Islay, they brought the the names "Scot" and "Gael" with them... Throughout the middle ages, Scot could refer to people of Ireland or Scotland. The 9th Century Irish philosopher and theologian "Don Scotus Eriugenia" is an example... his name translates as "John the Scot, Irish-born" i.e. "John the really Irish Irishman"...
@IrishJewGangsta Ignore that "crusades guy" he is bitter, twisted & hates Irish people, who also has no knowledge of the Gaelic Irish heritage of Scotland, he is delusional & engages in trying to invent pseudo-History on Irish videos, he hates the people who gave him his heritage.
Ignore the troll, seriously, he is delusional & ignores historical & archaeological fact to suit his anti-Irish agenda.
@thecrusades2 why do you troll irish pipe bands we have our own tartan i dont know why they are wearing your kilts but i do know ireland and scotland are very close friends allways were why are you saying irish forigner were not in your country i should be calling youns forigers because of the ulster scots get outta my country scotish forigners!!
@thecrusades2 It is not Scotland's money! It is used and dished out by London! You don't have your own Scottish army! You don't have your own passport! Scotland is no more than an English county! BTW I'm not Irish!
@thecrusades2 If you claim to have a monopoly on the GHB's then why has there not been a Grade 1 World Pipeband Championship winner from Scotland for the last five years? It goes between Simon Frazer University (not Scottish) Field Marshall Montgomery (not Scottish) and last years champions St Laurence O'Toole from Dublin! Ripped off it may be (who cares) but we have been showing the Scots how to play their own instrument for years! NOW WHO LOOKS STUPID?!!!
Typical daft dumb Plastic Paddie Yankee bastards, they've no clue about anything to do with national culture, The Pipes are Scottish! Even the Uillean Pipes are just another Scottish set of Pipes, they were called 'Union Pipes' - a Englishman from London took the Scottish pipes and created a softer variation of them in 1880 to celebrate the union between Scotland, England and Ireland, it was later taken by Irish Republicans in the early 1900's, they came from Scotland, along with Tartan.
@segano1@thecrusades2 Dogs with a bone that will not let go idiots and liars SCOTLAND REAL, CELTICS NOT REAL, EVERYTHING STOLEN FROM SCOTLAND DUHHH O BAG PIPES CREATED IN SCOTLAND NO WHERE ELSE STOP STEELING THEM ( segano1 {:'( thecrusades2 {:'( ) lol HI EVERYONE STOP MAKING THE CHILDREN CRY OR YOU YOU'LL BE SORRY THEY WILL GET THE Ku Klux Klan TO YOU AND THEN YOU WILL BE SORRY KLAN? o Clan is Irish but i guess that the Irish and stole that one to? DAM THEM THIEVING IRISH.
The Irish kilt history is a subject which is still being discussed and argued about by historians. However it would seem that the origins of the Irish kilt, lie firmly in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Having said that, there are still some people who claim that the kilt has been worn in Ireland as far back as the sixteenth century. While it is true that the Irish for many centuries did wear the Lein-croich.
@Albainn1 Alright, 1. they are wearing orange and green, the colors of the Irish flag. Their kilts are a solid color, which is an Irish thing. The Scots wear plaid kilts. 2. Highland bagpipes were originally Irish warpipes, which were in Ireland long before they were in Scotland. The Scots take credit for the bagpipes because bagpipes became extinct in Ireland due to England outlawing them for centuries in Ireland. The fact of the matter is, however, they were originally Irish. So yeah fuck you
An bhfuil to as albainn? then you should know that both the bag pipes and the kilt were irish inventions and as for clan tartan, the brits gave you that.
@ifonlyicouldstop Wrong! They're Scottish traditions, the Irish started to use Scottish things in the late 1800's with the emergence of Celt Romantism. Tartan is a pure Scottish thing, the Scottish put their foot down with the Tartan being used by the Irish after Queen Victoria suggested having Irish soldiers use the Kilt for military purposes that's why the Irish had the saffron Kilt only with plain colours.
The Brits can be used to describe the Scots, N.Irish & Welsh too, not just English.
@MrJohnboykk Pisss the fuck right off you weak tattie muching catholic peado cunt, just cos the weak pussy Irish doesn't have fuck all identity and culture of it's own you think you can steal from Scotland you spud dodging cunt, the Irish have always been England's bitch..it's a well documented fact!
The Scots were viciously standing up to them cunts and spitting at their face from way back while the Irish were on all fours sucking Engaylish cock.
@segano1 your tirade gave me a real hearty laugh thanks! Come back when your 'country' can stand on it's own with it's own army and it's own passport!
@ifonlyicouldstop And the bagpipes are Scottish, Scotland's earliest records of bagpipes far pre-date the Irish using them, the Warpipes were taken from Scotland hence it's yet another Scottish bagpipe and the Uilleann is a remade set of Scottish pipes from 1880, an Englishman from London took a set of Scottish pipes and remade a softer variation of them called 'Union pipes' to celebrate the union between Scotland, England and Ireland, it was only after the 1900's that Irish republicans used it.
