hi men! i have this pedal but sounds like shit! when i do palmute sounds nasty and shit! is the pedal damaged?? cuz ur pedal sounds fucking great!! :C
not using an amp or cabinet. just running it directly into my surround sound with cab emulation on my korg ag1x. you could imagine what it would sound like played thru a half stack though!
i pretty much turned everything off on the AX1G except for the cab emulation to give it a really good D.I. sound. make sure when u run this thing into the AX1G to set the input swich to 'HI'. no EQ, no reverb, nothing else but the cab emulation was on. cab emulation was set at: cab size 18, effect level 28

I have the uber metal pedal it sounds abit diffrent i have to assume its cause my settings are diffrent i like the distortion level i get out of my pedal though but i am only playing a 15 watt line 6 spider 3 amp and using an ibanez grx guitar but im getting an esp guitar soon explorer but im gonna use it for true metal not metallica crap lol nice demo though man peace
hey man :) . would you say this pedal was as god as the line 6 amp distortion? running it through my half stack is the goal versus buying a new line 6 amp
I don't understand why I would have to flatten my EQ on my amp. I don't have to do this with other pedals, infact I have free range with my amps EQ. This pedal just all around sucks, the fact that you have to flatten your EQ is reason number 1 in my book. Furthermore, the crunch I received was far too bassy, which sucked. I play on the Digitech Metal Master, which is far superior, perhaps you should invest in that, it's a little cheaper, and way better tone.
to dial in the tone of the pedal, the best way to do it is flatten out the EQ on your amp, dial in your tone on the pedal (like in the video description) then make MINOR adjustments to your amp's EQ to tweak the frequency a bit more. i do that with any pedal that i run like this one. you get the most control over your tone doing it this way. btw, i owned a metal master which is a pretty good pedal, but when this pedal is dialed in... BRUTAL. just listen to the tone in the vid.
Check it out, I'm usiing your settings provided in the video description, and I have to say.. With or without these settings the pedal sounds like absolute garbage, don't buy this pedal anyone. Spare your cash and buy the digitech metal master... This pedal has no crunch, WHATSOEVER, IT SUCKS It's cheaply made, and it sounds cheap too
you have to flatten your eq on your guitar amp. turn all your eq knobs to the 12 o'clock position on your amp, then dial in the tone on the pedal. also, you have to play it on the clean channel, not the distortion channel. don't really understand how you can say that it doesn't have any crunch but it is very crunchy in this video.
I own this pedal... and, I'm pretty new to it, but for some reason this thing isn't extremely good. it's most likely my equipment so let me try it on some GOOD equip, but, I've tweaked on setups and got some decents ones, but I just don't think this thing has good sustain and the highs are too high. But you seem to have made it work. So, rock on.
i mean, i am playing the pedal thru my home surround sound system, but it sounds a hell of alot better thru a guitar half stack! yea, you just gotta mess with it for a little bit before you find your tone, but it's worth it in the end! \m/
hey man thanks alot of posting this, cause the stuff you are playing is what i like.
now... im kinda like you, in the metal style you play, but i do alot of mathcore stuff too.. but dude very nice video, i think im difeinaltey getting it.
WOW im getting that pedal i just got a vox ad100vt amp and it does not have enough gain but does have amazing clean tone and everything else. haha. this pedal should make a big difference. Wuts it like $80?
yea, you can get a hold of one on ebay or somewhere like that from between $80-110 depending. you can really get a wide range of metal/rock tones with this pedal

@slaytanic1983
Nah, it has a built in, 3 stage noise suppressor. Very flexible pedal and well worth the money.

If you listen to the Master of Puppets master tracks, you will hear that their guitars aren't as distorted as they sound on the album.

dude i have a question. i hope you'll answer me.
is the noise gate of this "line 6 uber metal" as good as the "boss noise suppressor"??
If it is, then i think this one is good because it has a built-in noise gate.
On boss, I'll have to buy the noise suppressor but in line 6 i just have to buy this one.
sparkee101 2 years ago
the ns2 will give you way more of a gate than this built in one will haha
its still pretty good though
if you want the best get an isp decimator
