hey, just wondering what suspension mods you have onyour car? i'd like to make my rsx handle a little better for mountain runs, any advice would be appreciated :)
VERY nice sound !!! I'd like to know your mods other than the reflash, like do you have an intake, header, exhaust, cams, etc. I have an RSX as well and I'd like to have such a sweet sound :) Thanks !
The RSX engine runs off data tables that control fuel, cam angles, ignition timing, vtec activation, etc. Reflashing changes that data to give more horsepower. And it is specifically designed for cold air intake. My car gained about 35 flywheel horses from the reflash. The reflash is static though. I can't do any further tweeking if I change something on my car. That's what Kpro is for. It replaces your computer completely and allows you to tune everything to your individual car.
RokJoke... I was just givin' yah the raz! Your RSX is pretty quick, but really no match for a prepped Lotus. It's funny...all these track day videos showing cars passing, or keeping up with cars that they shouldn't be able to. In reality you have to take each as a special case. Anyway, congrats on a fun day and a cool video. BTW, I'm an old ex-kart racer. I'd love to have a go at ya at Laguna Seca in my prepped Elise! hee hee... adios!
I don't doubt you. He was a beginner and he was scaring himself so much that it allowed me to catch him. Later in the day we were dead even. Now he'd probably kill me.
No offense dude but the Lotus pulls you anywhere she wants to...it's just that the chick can't drive very well. I didn't see her take one line properly...
Well...actually it was a guy driving...a Brit...only his second time, he got better as the sessions went on. As far as "pulling" goes, he was surprised that he couldn't pull me. He said "my car should be much faster in a straight line...how are you keeping up on the straight ?" Me: "Hondata".
Overall, pretty good. I think you need to work on your turns a bit better. I didn't see the entire vid, but turn at 2:04ish seemed rough. I don't know what the conditions/speed were but coming out of turns i think you were a tad bit slow on throttle which kept you behind the lotus. I don't think the lotus was even that great of a driver..just have a faster car. hah and that M3 just took both of you down. haha anyway, good stuff, keep practicing/driving. oh yeah get a smaller helmet. jk :p
I need to make the rear a bit looser so it comes around quicker. Then I can mash the gas quicker. The Lotus driver was basically a beginner but he learned fast. First session he spun 3 times !
Looks like you got taken by both the elise and the BMW. Dude your a wreckless driver, way too damn close to the Elise. Driving to seriously. Too bad the elise driver kept leaving you after every turn. Torque Kills:which hondas dont have.
Stiffer rear sway, Kumho MX (BIG difference over stock), good brake pads, good fluid, SS brake lines, Hondata reflash (seems to have added about 30 hp along with CAI and IM gasket). A few other small things.
You would think so for sure. Although a Type-R might be a different story. check out my Cadwell Park video to see a couple of Type-Rs take down a Lotus.
I think Perturber only seeks to perturb you, rokjoke.
Why the negative remarks regarding autoX? Also, what to do you mean by "wheel to wheel" racing, are you referring to open wheel / formula racing or karting? Or are you simply a noob yourself...
Anyway, nice vid rokjoke. Track days are a blast and a great way to improve your skill in a safe(r) environment. Cheers
Remember, one of the few things more pathetic than a cross-dressing autocorssing cone dodger is someone who goes to the track and brags that be "passed" an inherently faster car. Just remember... WHEEL TO WHEEL RACERS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE PYRAMID OF SPEED.
Actually yes, I have been drinking -- a can of WHEEL TO WHEEL RACING!! I see you have been drinking a drink called "delusions of track day grandeur." This is the kind of drink that makes one feel like a great driver after attending a track day and passing some noob in an elise.
Don't have the car any more, but it had the factory A-spec suspension.

This comment is just too stupid to warrant a real response.

one does not "run down" a driver who can't hit his marks while riding a tricycle, let alone floundering around in an elise.
LokiSykkel 4 years ago
No...that's when it's EASY to run 'em down.

very nice, but I will say, with a good driver an elise is more then a match for an RSX and well, most other things too!
