So....Fox news is a blatantly obvious news organization and they kick everyone's ass consistently and people like Cenk Uygur are all upset about it. So either America is either center right or more in the middle than liberal. Either that or liberal America doesn't watch news. Umm the rich make up a very small % of the population. How is raising their taxes going to help? So what everyone else has to be supported by them? The true solution should be to stop all of this spending. Stop foreign aid, and make America a producer again instead of a consumer. Back in the 50s, 40s etc almost everything was made here. This solution will also create jobs.

Someone like you may think this is unfair, but it's not when you consider they hold about 42% of the total financial wealth in this country. Raising their taxes would make a significant impact on our budget "crisis." To answer your 2nd question: the economy is driven by consumers. You're putting the cart before the horse assuming production will solve everything. Also, the U.S. was a leader in manufacturing post World War 2 (the 40s and 50s) because much of the rest of the developed world was in ruins and rebuilding.

This is the prototype for a "Good interview'. Cenk didn't just ask questions so the guest and he will reach some sort of "agreement". Every question he asked was a direct challenge to the guest, he had to answer him (with evidence). Unlike too many other interviews, where the interviewers basically serve up soft balls for the interviewee to hit it out of the ballpark. Cenk made the guest uneasy, and that's what interviews should be.

I think part of the problem is that, while the poll numbers clearly show that Americans may be ECONOMICALLY liberal, many Americans are SOCIALLY conservative, and many of us tend to lump those two together. So as long as that takes precedence over the economic issues, the Republicans will have more power than they should. Politics should not be so monolithic like that.

And it doesn't help that Fox News is dishonest and that people are stupid, but what can you do?
