Richter said: "I thought it was a good concert, but when I heard the result... " Then Richer adds: "I do not like myself." It's a frame of documentary film "Richter, L'Insoumis "(Bruno Monsaigeon).
What Sviatoslav suffers is a general condition! It happens to ANYBODY with absolute pitch when they reach and advanced age. Nobody told him?. I know more people in their sixties or seventies with the same problem.
I´m afraid the translation in the beginning is pretty sloppy ( not sure whether it´s the correct english word ^^ ) but my russian (as my english) isnt good enough to translate properly ..maybe someone with the ability might be kind enough to check it.
...though its actually not that improtant im just curious what the master said
I think it's a cerebral 'problem'.
I used to have an absolute pitch myself too, but in the last years I've had the same, but only 1/2 tone difference.

He thought it was a good concert ...? In my point of view, it seems quite certain. Where is the rest of the interview?

Richter complains he hears music one step off from actual pitch. He believes
it's a physiological problem with his hearing. He also said that he used
to have perfect pitch but that has now gone. SR says he is afraid to play
publicly and has retired. I hope my paraphrase helps non-English musicians.

@beatlebonzo Great, now we'll need someone to translate what you just said into their language.
