This is not a song for Shirley...She is great but this song is in our "hard drive" performed by MINA, in Italian, English and even French...Shirley is better when she performed "her" songs and I listen to her from the 70s!! I know her repertoire.

Shirley's an amazingly talented singer, but the arrangement for her take on the great Mina classic is awful. Mina's version is the best one if anything because of its better arrangement.

I also love Shirley Bassey, but this song if far better performed by Mina, Shirley is giving maybe a good vocal performance, but Mina puts all her heart in it.

Mina sung even the english version in 1974 (and you can find it in Youtube). It was much better, and Shirley do not add anithing to Mina's interpretation (even to the English one)
Yes, it was 1976. This is the 'B' side of the single hit "Natali." I totally agree with you about Mina's version of the song--a good job. However, Shirley is best.

Shirley is very good, but Mina is a phenomenon. Bassey's voice tends to the dramatic, and not the many nuances that Mina has.

I think that Mina did a good job in Italian.
But in English Shirley Bassey is much better.
I don't know when Shirley recorded it, but the music sounds like 1976
