stainztoxin your retarded, he's in full naxx gear for one, for two this is before the changes to decimation and molten core, and for three this is way before glyph of quick decay. my guess is you have your lock in 264 gear and only pull 10-12k dps, well your bad. the point of this vide was to help demo locks in 3.1 and optec did a great job ofthat, the point was not to compare the dps to 3.3 locks in better gear who get 30% icc buffs. good job optec keep it up, stainz is a noob.

@Devilhero12 i currently have a 60 warlock, leveling i was pure affliction, then at 55 switched to Demonology. have found he is able to dish out major damage with demonology. have also played Destruction and while that delivers HUGE dps requires alot of mana, i suggest play with all 3 and find what you like best.

Thanks for the long range tip man its very good. Im opt out of demonic pact for 2 MC and 3 suppression, but when i get enough SP i believe i will go Demonic pact. Everyonw says the shaman totem named... i dont know its something ghey but its 280 SP, ive heard T9 demo's can hit the 5k SP is that right? thatd be 500 SP increase for the raid. Thats crazy huh

Pretty awesome video, I've been raiding as a Felguard Demonologist since the beginning of BC; even when folks said the DPS was terrible with Demonology, I proved that you can indeed use a FG effectively. It's really refreshing to see this spec now working, and this is a brilliant video to demonstrate it. Well done!

To Shanoamg07, this spec doesn't crank destro or affli DPS, correct, but with T9 2-set increasing DT uptime, every 25 should have one demolock ;), it can increase raid dps up to 3%.

Well...for destro, we have soul leech, which gives us 20% of the damage we have done back as health when it procs, plus soul leech gives us replenishment when we crit, then there's life tap, then we have death coil to heal if needed. Honestly, I only use life tap for the glyph buff, then once every 30 or so seconds for a quick 5k(ish) mana, and to keep the buff going.

Demo specs are now primarily used for their provision of the raid buff demoic pact afforded by said talent. Due to the fact that in all but a few situations this spec is inferior to deep destro and affliction in terms of dps, this spec is most often used by guilds on progression content.

It's still viable but probably as a one off meta lock in a 25man raid as the spell power buff the provide is better than elemental shamans totem of wrath. Provided you have more than 2500 raid buffed spell power. The buff is 10% of your spell power to the raid a fully buffed meta lock will have more than this I expect atm with my destruction spec I have about 3.2k SP in raids and that's without demonic knowledge.

I dont really get what you mean by casting the SF before the SB arrives. Isnt the quick SF only available after you hit the target with SB?

It is because you have the buff that allows you to cast an extra fast soul fire when you cast the shadowbolt, if you then use up the buff to cast a soulfire before the shadowbolt arrives you loose the buff when the soul fire leaves your character but its then reapplied by the arriving shadowbolt.

What numbcore said :) I aimed for 15% with this build as that is the cap if you have a Draenai in the raid.

15% + 1% Suppression + 1% Heroic Presence = 17% (the cap)

Deep destro is better than metamorphosis builds imo. I tried this metamorphosis build and it "sucked" compared to deep destro builds.

Dps was not as good.

Compared to a heavy Destro build I can now confirm that yes it does less damage. I wouldn't say it sucks it still beats alot of classes. The main reason you would go meta ruin is for the demonic pact buff if you have over 2800 sp its better than ToW.

This is a guide to the spec not really a guide to which spec to do. I think I may make a heavy detro movie next if I do make another :).

It's hard for me to say as I havent tried a full PVE destro build yet. I experimented with it on test but haven't actually raided with it.

Going on results on the dummy I wasn't doing as much dps as demo. But that may have changed with recent patches.

If in doubt take demo as an offspec and take it to an easy instance and see how you do.
