Your ironic question shows that you don't understand this art. Aikido practitioners have goals other than "effectiveness in competitions".
Submission fighting is a completely different art, if you're looking for effective submission techniques you should train grappling styles like Bjj, sambo, wrestling, Greco-Roman and others.

@ph33ric effenctivness does not necessarily mean good in competitions. Aikido is effective in self defense.

@ph33ric Because an Aikidoist would never compete. That isn't what Aikido is for. Also small joint manipulations are not allowed in competitions.
