Yeah but about that spirit attack; all i did was freak out, lock myself and my gf of the time in her room, light a bunch of candles and do about every banishment I could come up with. Eventually I invoked Isis; a few comforting words reassured me - no such harm would come to me so long as my purpose in this life has yet to be fulfilled. I then went to sleep, and woke up with everything back to normal.

Only time I got in a magickal battle was when Set sent a spirit attack on me. The sky turned red and filled with terrible, distinctly shaped clouds - skulls and such. Flourescent white and green visions ran through my head of myself suffering a terminal disease. All the pets freaked out - two rats fell sick with cancer that night. One word repeated through my head: "GANAHAKARIA"

Set and I get along quite well now ^,^

This is cool, but I don't exactly understand the method or purpose of doing magickal battle with a martial god. Did you initiate it, or was this a response to an attack on you? It must have been an interesting experience with interesting results. I would love to hear how it went.

It's so very interesting to see how people perform these rituals so differently. But magick is not about being "sheep" or a part of anyone's "flock". But I love to watch other people perform occult rituals and hear how they pronounce these ancient names. Blessings of Adonai.

I guess the pronunciations are interesting but what people in the magickal community don't seem to get is that these names have actual pronunciations and they aren't really up for interpretation. I agree that they work regardless but only because of the individual's power. A connection to the actual language gives the magician ownership of the names and a power that I do not feel can be obtained otherwise.

For that purpose:

I find your approach very usefull. I will tell you that just through an emotional rite that I conducted myself using the limited knowledge I had of Enochian Magick, I was able to overcome things that to this day are astounding to me. I think you are right on the money my friend.
