@USAF2409 Go and wash your mouth out. Their bravery, resilience and innovation are why later cars became safer, the safer still, then even safer, up to the cushioned beanbags we drive today. Without men like these we'd still be getting facefulls of horse fart, so show some respect, you sniveling little coward.
@bigglyguy they could of at least had the common sense. You would think 10 deaths a week would catch attention and people would say " Hey we are losing a bunch of drivers lets try and make the cars safer"
@Galaxies91 Stupid? Wider tires on modern racing cars are to handle the higher power output, back in those days they wanted narrow tires to grip in the wet. If you didn't understand that then that makes you stupid, right? As for roll cages, that's extra weight and wind resistance, which would make you the safest loser in every race.
My most sincere and respectful gratefulness to these brave and many times innocent men who helped to develop all the security issues we have in our cars today. In many cases giving their lives. Thank you very much. We owe you so much.
2:06-The driver had his legs over the seat and head over the dashboard. Man, the way some of these drivers were flying thru the air and being ragdolled is like they're bikers. Without the safety gear of course...
2:50 : That driver got ragdolled so hard... I don't know if anyone knows otherwise, but I can't imagine the driver survived getting crushed under his car and then landing hard after being ejected. Brutal.
it's unbelievable that you can see people actually walking away from some of those wrecks. by today's standards one expects nearly everyone to die in such a car.
@DukeLaCrosse20 I do get the principal of it, when you crash and roll, it's more dangerous to stay in the car when your head is up high! the idea is that when you flip is that you fall out of the car and that the car keeps rolling without anyone in it!
how many of these were fatal?
