Sergio Leone made classic trilogy. These films are unique cause keep getting better and better with every new film. The Good The Bad & The Ugly is pure masterpiece. All the actors did a brilliant job but Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach were special. Nowadays they don't make Real Westerns like this one. Modern Hollywood films are useless remakes, stupid rip offs, crappy sequels etc - No creativity/class at all
@oldpossum Yeah, I am still young, busy and haven't really seen all the classics quite yet (which is odd considering my favourite movie genre is Westerns and this is still on my list of must-sees). But hey, still being young means still having plenty of time to do so.
@oldpossum Indeed I have. A true classic without a doubt.
'High Noon' is actually an all-time favourite. And I have seen all of those (all wonderful) except for 'Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garçia'. I appreciate the recommendation.
best western movie ever, if not the best eastwood movie ever!

@GoldenFlither15, I figuerd you were young... Leone's flicks had this genius of Ennio Morricone for the music...
but then, I've always found that Lee van Cleef was always just a tad too clean, well shaved and mannicured for the wild west

@GoldenFlither15 definitely! No derision meant, quite the opposite -- -- a hell of a privilege, to be young these days - enviable!
You've surely seen "Once of a Time in the West", his classic?
A little list of other western musts:
High Noon, b/w, Gary Cooper/Grace Kelly, icons
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", Paul Newman, unforgettable
The Wild Buch, raw stuff by Sam Peckingpah
Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garçia, nice rhythm of the title
Mc Cabe and Mrs Miller, Altman, great director
