I've watched many of the adoption videos and your story is one of my favourites. I must have watched it over a dozen times. What a beautiful family you have. :)
How blessed the children are to have you two as parents. All five of them will thrive. How very awesome it was for the two of you to undertake the wonderful task of sharing your love with two additional babes! God bless and keep you and yours forever.
@cswalton,I still stand by what I said!Parents who have the need&crave for a child turn to stick to whatever they get!On the otherhand parents who choose from the unset to do a charity case lose interest when the passion to help abates.TheCreator protects even the birds in the sky&will take care of the needy. It's better to grow up in an environment where one is respected(even in poverty)than in communities where race&skin color are a barrier to one's spiritual growth!MostAfrican SOS homes do OK!
Yes, i can see many handsome, aweful and beautiful children maybe given to the lucky ones that's nice, and are welcome. But here no one has mentioned their final homes because these are just pictures while in reality most of them are disables. This makes me wonder, and in reply i say it could be painful after a long wait and hastes to having a child lastly ended up in agony. Is any one in this state? Do you know the offcials? What if you are partially and nagatively judged? God help!!!

It is a nice adoption documentary film.I would propose that adoptee kids be first given to couples who don't have kids of their own &are adopting to fulfill their craving to be parents. It should first be a 2 way relation:baby needs parents&parents needs baby. The reason is that the baby would grow up the learn the fact that their parents needed & love them rather than a charity case.
As stated at the end of the video, there are 4.6 Million orphans in Ethiopia. Unfortunately there will never be enough adoptive parents for all of these children. It doesn't matter if people have children already or not, if God puts it on their heart that they should adopt, that is reason enough. You do not know the hearts of these parents. What matters is these two beautiful children have a mom and a dad that love them.
Nice vid :) Very heart warming! I'm planning to adopt when I'm a little older and more financially stable... maybe in my early thirties? I'm still a bit young, and I want to make sure I'm ready and prepared ;)
I was shocked when I ran across this video and immediately recognized the lady holding your baby. We adopted from the same transition home in in 2009. I was even more surprised when I saw the blue denim jacket with the pink buttons. This was the same jacket our son(yes, son) had his picture taken in before we were able to get him. Wow it brings back the memories! What a great experience
@vanillapie Hey if you think you can just go to East Africa and abduct children then you are in trouble!... I have seen your comment on other videos!... Remember There would be a mob justice waiting for you, if you ever try to go over there and try to do what you are thinking about!...There is endless wars and notorious people in East Africa but child molesters and incest inbreeds like you would be fried in a second, that is the biggest crime...worst than killing dozen humans! better watch out!
The apartheid regime in Ethiopia had sold over 3000 Ethiopian children in the name of adoption in 2009. Each child was sold for $30,000, and background check was not required on the would-be buyers. Many of the children wound up in the hands of child molesters in the West.
Recently, authorities in Salt Lake City, Utah have arrested the founder of an Ethiopian orphanage, Lon Harvey Kennard, on child molestation charges for molesting the 6 children he had purchased from the regime in Ethiopia.
i love you guys. you brought so much tears. i can't help it.I am Ethiopian and happy to see your family happy and joyful.
i love all the pictures especially the very last one with all of you sitting on a grass. Right there I saw GOD watching over you. your family is simply beautiful.
ahhh i think it is amazing tht you adopted two beautiful kis from my county they are soo beautiful ahhh you guys are both soo luck i am as well think about adopting from there as well take care i hope all is well
That was beautiful how you adopted two children. I think that is really great with international adoptions, so the children have a sibling who can relate. Your daughter is really your daughter. She bonded with you immediately. This is beautiful!
this is an adorable family..thanks for the info at the end about Ethiopia. I was wondering about the stats on that. I also loved the quotes from Isaiah:)
What a beautiful family. I've always been interested in international adoption and your happy family is truly an inspiring story for me to continue till the day I'm able to adopt.
I've been watching these adoption videos, and I want to start the process right now! Your family is beautiful, and it makes me want it, all the more. I want two biological kids (not that it really matters) and two adopted kids, but I just don't know how to do it.
Is there any way you could explain, through a personal letter, how this is done? I would so love to know, and how much it costs. I would hope that there is zero cost much because there are so many children who need adopted ...
we are beginning the process of adopting from africa. we have two boys already but have felt for many years to adopt. i struggle though with the pain of knowing that we cant take all the children home with us. i just want to rescue them all. but i guess there is only one that can rescue them all, and maybe through Jesus, we can be an instrument in His hand to rescue one and make her our own and raise her in the ways of the Lord.
May I ask how you are adopting, how much money does it cost, and how easy or difficult is it? I would really like to know the answers to these questions because I know that I will adopt, one day, I just don't know when, how, from where, or who ...
I would love an easy adoption, little to no expense (other than the travel, food, ect.) since there are "tons" of children to adopt, as I've heard, but I don't know where to start. I love children, and can'tn see my life without them.

Ethiopians may not have all the material wealth you possess, but they are rich in love, culture and most of all compassion to each other.

Is there child trafficking in Ethiopia?
vanillapie 1 year ago
I haven't seen a country yet where children are not taken advantage of in some way. Each of us can make a difference, one step at a time.
