I completely disagree. As a hardcore CT fan since it came out, I was skeptical of the DS version, but after playing through the game, I was impressed. They did a great job.

The "new words" are just a re-translation. What you're reading in the DS version is what the original script really said. The SNES translator basically half-assed a lot of it and added in his own stuff (Frog's Old English speech). And the changed items are just the old ones with correct names. Not different, just corrected.

Look, I love CT more than any other game I must say you're all exaggerating about his interpretation. The music brings back memories of course but it lacks expression. He's not even concentrating on his fingers (which are stiff and don't make any vibrato).

I see where you're coming from, I think. But you have to remember that game themes are pretty repetitive (they loop, after all) and if you change much up, you'll be able to notice it a bit more. As is, it seems like he's just relaxing and messing around, playing some of his favorite songs.

Plus, we all concentrate differently. He may be lost in his own little world as he plays- I know I get lost when I listen!

You got a good point there -unlike some average fanatics who just thumb you down before reading. But that's exactly why I would have added more vibrato or some other expression. Overall, I do like his arrangements for a rock line-up but the performance is somewhat boring, even though he's playing the song only once. I think if you run the game and turn the screen off or look somewhere else to concentrate only on the music, you'll see the original track is funner regardless of the infinite loops.
